Social 80% decline in value of X since Musk purchase according to Fidelity

Whatcha mean? The account literally remained standing despite posting CP. You expect them to share the CP on there for proof? Cmon now…

Read the article. It sounds like the guy posted a partially obscured picture of a child that was abused to bring awareness to the sex abuse that is going on with children.

It wasn't a great idea to do so but branding the guy like he's into child pornography is not true and really a shit thing for you to do to someone who is doing work to try and stop child abuse.

The first inclination that the article wasn't going to be true is the fact that it was written by WaPo. It's just funny how you lefties are eating up the anti Elon propaganda like it's nobody's business. It was like the switch flipped and the propaganda machine went into full effect as soon as he bought Twitter. Rarely did we hear a peep out of you guys about Elon before that. Just be aware that you are being manipulated.

Edgy.

But seriously, Elon did hire and pay a bunch of lawyers to try and back out of the deal. It's literally a matter of public record. So kinda dumb to pretend he planned to lose billions all along just to own the libs.

I don't think you can seethe your way out of this one buddy.
Elon, got checked when he ran his mouth about buying Twitter.
Everyone seems to forget Leon fought tooth and nail not buy Twitter.
The dude can build a great car, a truck not so much, but his cars are great, if you have a home charger, or an area with lots of chargers, dont have to make long road trips, its a great car. '
The problem is Leon has shit posted away billions and him fighting for Freeze Peach is a lie he got the Rubes to believe. He got addicted to the praise those same Rubes heaped on him. He blocks reporters, anything negative about him and anybody Turkey tells him to censor. So Freeze Peach absolutist is bullshit fiction.
Leon is basically the kid I grew up with who had the bad ass half pipe in his back yard, that his General Contractor Dad built. You put up with a little more bullshit that you normally would, just because, you wanted to skate and his Mom would always bring out drinks and snacks. I got real Dr Pepper over there while at my house my Mom would buy fake Dr Pepper which was called Dr Thunder.
The banks that underwrote the Twitter buy are currently trying to get the fuck out of the loans and trying to sell them at deep discounts. I am Honestly waiting for someone like Mark Cuban to buy one of the loans, just to troll, Leon.
I have said, many times it has been fascinating to watch Leon shit post away billions. Then the dumb fuck sued advertisers who no longer wanted to advertise with him. That is a bold strategy to win them back. There will be Netflix specials on Elon's colossal fuck up and piss poor management of Twitter.

I don't agree with Trump doing that either. I've never been outside of anywhere protesting so I'd say I'm pretty consistent. You're the one that isn't consistent. You're okay with government propaganda and censorship as long as it benefits you and you're not okay with it when it benefits other people. I'm not okay with it, even if it benefits me because censorship and propaganda are both bad.

I know it's difficult to accept that you're a hypocrite but it's the truth of the situation. I didn't realize that bringing up your hypocrisy means that I'm "moaning". Kind of a weird word to use there when talking to another man but that's a topic for another day. Enjoy your hypocrisy while probably simultaneously thinking you're a moral person.
It's really strange, but telling, the amount of leftists crying about Twitter being more inclusive and keeping tabs on literally everything about the company. Most of these posters were the same people justifying the obvious censorship by saying "It's a private company. They can do what they want."

I believe the actual court filings. He literally tried to back out but unfortunatley he signed something called a contract
So what? Is he trying to sell it now? You don't think he could have sold it for way less that 44 billion to avoid the position he's in now?

Edgy.

But seriously, you mistake me for someone who takes you seriously. Go fuck yourself.

Still not sounding off about Musk running X and being offered a role with Trump's administration, then?

Any reason?

I already told you I don't agree with that.

Unlike you, I can admit when something is wrong even if it benefits my line of politics.

i dont understand how a company like twitter can lose so much value. It still seems pretty active.

Did it lose a significant amount of users since musk bought it? if so, why?

Is ad revenue down significantly? if so, why?

or was it just overvalued before musk bought it? or some combination of all the above reasons?

All the big advertisers have pulled out... and Elon has even said that his goals for X are incompatible with advertising.

Of course Musk doesn't care, it was a vanity purchase. He never intended to make $$ off it.

It doesn't really come across as genuine when you only admit you don't agree with something when pressed on it. You realise you've now posted multiple times of your own accord about the Covid thing right?

Doesn't seem like they're of equal priority, especially when the Musk situation is way, way worse...

You're not being tokenist are you?

the ad revenue has decreased by 80% since musk took over?

I'm seeing a lot more racist shit on twitter than ever before. I report it when I see it, but I don't even know if they do anything about it anymore. I'm pretty sure Musk had a hand in how they handle their content moderating.. and its pretty fucking bad now.

It's mostly anti-miscegenation crap and how whites should do more to protect their country from other races, etc. It's mostly anti-black. It's very frightening to see. That is not political opinion - that is straight up hate.

Your claim was that cp is acceptable on twitter and you cant get canned for it. Your proof for this is a single account that reposted cp and was reinstated. Which doesnt validate your claim. It was reinstated because it was determined that there was no malicious intent, and there was a suspension and removal of content. You are misleading because your claim implies there is little to no regulation regarding cp whatsoever. Which isnt true.

You seem to keep trying to ignore the fact he tried to back out of the offered deal for weeks and only carried out the purchase because of the courts.
Thought I responded to this... no I havent ignored it. I addressed it to two other posters in this thread. His advisors no doubt telling him its a bad idea and then twitter jumped on the price he may have regretted overpaying etc. But you know when you pull investors to the tune of billions and take out 13B in loans to set this up that it wasnt a joke. I'm fine with saying it wasnt a good investment for him especially at the price paid and the ebidta affected with all the debt added to the company. If it goes under I'm good with that too. Dont like twitter. But all the effort to raise capital, get loans and set up the deal... not to mention signing your name ensuring it WILL be a court battle even if you're joking...

I'm not even sure what the argument is about it being a joke... why does it matter so much? You joke and troll sure... you dont take all those steps as a joke. It may have been impulsive and a bad business investment but it makes no difference. He meant to do what he did and will have the consequences of the purchase. Its more effective to say it was a terrible business decision so far (dont know the future) than just trolling from him. I'm sure he will try to turn it around but whether he does or doesnt is no consequence.

Nobody would ever lose billions to own the libs. These guys need to grow up.

It's one thing to beat up a guitar in a tantrum, but buying X at an overinflated price then running it incompetently isn't a plan, or part of a plan, or even remotely conceivable.

Nobody is gullible enough to buy that shit.
Only trolls likely take this stance imo of elon trying to do anything to libs.

Awe I don't know the man so I can't make definitive statements on him but he doesn't appear to live extravagantly. He has been wildly successful in his ventures. Tesla makes money while groups like Ford lose a fortune. He took on something that he wanted more open dialogue so he bought twitter likely against all his advisors. I don't know whether he has bad intentions or not but doesn't seem to. Seems like his efforts aren't for harm. He is helping Australia get away from fossil fuels etc. I know of course there are profits there but he is definitely impacting the world.

I see musk like the covid vaccine. Before the election the left thought Trump was making it out of his basement. After the right flipped and acted like Biden was out to harm them. Musk was hailed as an innovator and advancing green energy but when political leanings were known he is the rights hero and the lefts thorn. I don't know what the right thought of him before all of this but likely either nothing or negative (may be wrong here). Now he's a hero. Feelings on him now all depend on the political spectrum.
I think the guy is a genius I just don't think he's doing anything for altruistic reasons or cares about providing a free speech platform for all equally with this purchase. He's been fined before for making false tweets to boost his stock and he's pretty clearly jumped into the political arena with his anti woke nonsense and endorsement of Trump.

I'm glad you're good with Elon and his investors losing billions of dollars because he offered a meme price.

Eloy Stans: "Musk is gonna make Twitter bigger, badder, and more profitable than ever!! You'll see when he buys it!!"

Eloy Stans after Musk tries desperately to get our of the deal he offered: "That's just because he knows it's a leftist circle-jerk not really worth saving!!"

Eloy Stans after advertisers declare Twitter is an absolute sh*thole: "That's just censorship!!"

Eloy Stans after Musk fails to do anything significant with "Twitter Files:" "OMG did you see that??? This dude is SO about freeze peach and transparency!! The laptop!!"

Eloy Stans after Musk literally bans a journalist for sharing information about Shady Vance: "...well, not THAT kind of freeze peach, that's just wrong!"

Eloy Stans after its revealed that Musk had lost tons of money, and other people's money in value: "....well clearly he never cared about money or profitability!! Its all about the principals man!!"

Twitter was literally never profitable and I doubt it was purely for financial reasons because it's a terrible investment - even if he didn't play an inflated price. The business itself sucks.
