Islamic State jihadists claimed responsibility for twin explosions Saturday that ripped through crowds of Shiite Hazaras in Kabul, killing at least 80 people and wounding 231 others in the deadliest attack in the Afghan capital since 2001.

The bombings during a huge protest over a power line mark the first major IS assault on the Afghan capital, apparently aimed at sowing sectarian discord in a country well known for Shia-Sunni harmony.

Mod Note: do not praise the people who did the attack.

A perfect example of why people who claim to care about muslims but see no issue with islam make no sense.

lol not real islam

I'm surprised there havent been multiple threads and 20+ pages of posts condemning these attacks. The righteous right wing Trump supporters are the first to fight for innocent civilians

Most of the Afghan refugees here are Hazara, on account of how they were treated by the Taliban. ...and ISIS is much, much worse.

Why isnt this getting mainstream coverage?

You see guys muslims kill each other too, this means you westerners have no right to be angered over islamic terrorist attacks LOL. Who gives a shit what they do to each other, keep that shit in their shit hole countries.

It's amazing how the Sunnis and Shias have been slaughtering each other for 1400 years over trivial differences.

RIP to the dead.

It's sickening to see on an everyday basis, buts that's the way it is when you live like cavemen, and put ghosts above your fellow man.

RIP

Islam gonna Islam.

The bombing occured at a rally
promoting peace between the two
groups. This fact shouldn't be
ignored. Promote what you love,
instead of bashing what you hate.

If you love the idea of Islamic groups
transcending their violent pasts, then
the focus shouldn't be on the lunatic
minority who attempts to derail the
path towards peace; but instead, on
the martyrs who died, trying to
preserve this peace.

EDIT: The rally was for a power line
dispute. The people were united, and
fighting for their rights & against
oppression. To defy their efforts& mock
their beliefs is terribly misguided
& ignorant. These were good people.
