Elections 5th Democratic Primary Debate Discussion (NBC/YouTube)

Who won the 5th Democratic Primary Debate?

  • Total voters
    25
  • Poll closed .
Well what about the first two? Both on weekdays?

And what about the next two? On a Wednesday and Thursday. What now is the excuse once those roll around?

I'll give you Saturday is dumb for a debate and I wish there was more.

I'm not citicizing the first two debates dates, or the last two, I'm citicizing these two.

If they simpily scheduled them a few days before or afterward, it would have won millions of more viewers. I wonder why that wasn't the goal.

Answer - Clinton has friends in the DNC, and she doesn't want the nomination to be 'stolen' from her again. Obama came out of nowhere and was the more attractive candidate without a history. It'd be far more humiliating to lose to a crusty old white socialist as Sanders. And to help that from not occuring, schedule the fewest amount of debates possible, and as many of those on times with the lowest amount of viewership.

Its not hard to figure this out.

What's weird is the field isn't something she should be worried about. She should be shining right now as the clear frontrunner she was suppose to be. I mean, this is the lady since 2012 we've heard was a lock for President in 2016.

I'd say since she lost the nomination in 2008.

I bet she wishes a shitload of other Democrats entered and stayed in the race to split the vote at least somewhat. But nope, only four other candidates, and two quit after they saw the tricks the media was playing that removed them from any possibility of winning.

I'm curious, after O'Malley quits, who does most of his 3% go to?

DWS said today that she and her team worked meticulously on creating a debate schedule that maximized exposure for all the Democratic candidates.

What a joke. Anyone who denies the DNC's obvious subservience to Clinton over Sanders is an idiot. This debate schedule has been ludicrous.

What a complete c***.

She's a bigger embarassment to the party than Sanders, or Hillary, or Obama.

Certainly, although I don't regard any of those three as embarrassments. I don't much care for Clinton, but I think she's an effective executive, even if a slimeball of a human being. Nothing at all embarrassing about Obama or Bern.

If we're doomed to have a corporate Democrat as the face of the only sane party in the country, can't we at least churn out a guy like Cory Booker?

1. His tax policy isn't anything new for the party since the 80's. Maybe far right if you compare to Nixon/Eisenhower but we could go farther back then that with any politician and say they've strayed a certain direction.

It's the same general idea, but Rubio is knocking it up a notch.

Which is why behind the scenes they are asking Biden to run. Hildawg has a graveyard of skeletons, and she is very unlikeable. That said, the GOP are swinging further right and will never win unless they put out someone who at least sounds moderate. The time that God WArriors can win a national election has passed.

I think what's more concerning is Cruz has a flat tax and that usually has been a disqualifer in the GOP primary. To be fair, Trump likely will go back to his wealth tax if he does somehow win the white house.

Sunday gets more TV viewers than any other day, and 9 p.m. Eastern gets the most viewers of any hour. It does appear that the DNC is protecting the obvious frontrunner, but let's not go nuts.

Bernie going for the black vote early.

I wonder if O'Malley is going to go hard at Sanders this time around. I would think it would be his smartest move.

The Sunday before a federal holiday might as well be a Saturday. The fact that this is a better schedule time than prior debates just highlights how terrible the previous slots have been.

I'm with Sanders on gun control, but Clinton just flashed her debate bona fides with that attack. That was extremely methodical.

O'Malley, of course, doesn't know dick.

That's that they said before Reagan, after Reagan, after McCain, and after Romney.

Always find it humorous that Hillary has said she'd love to run against Trump or Cruz. Sure, right, that's believable, she'd be pissing in her pantsuit if Jeb Bush won the nomination.

You combine Bernie's politics and earnesty with O'Mally's charm and speaking savy and you'll have a GOAT politician.

What? O'Malley's probably the least orally gifted of the three at the end of the day. Sanders has charisma coming off his ear-hairs.
