THE TOP 5 MOST DISTURBING POLICE BRUTALITY VIDEOS FROM 2017

Like many years before, 2017 proved to be a deadly and dangerous year for those who found themselves on the other side of the badge. During 2017, 1,188 people lost their lives to the judges, juries, and executioners known as the American police. Everyone from children to the elderly were killed by police this year as most Americans watched football and looked the other way. Police brutality has become so prominent that it is now recorded on video—repeatedly—for the world to see.

To show just how dangerously insane some of these ‘peace officers’ are, TFTP has compiled a short list of some of the worst police brutality videos of 2017.

1. ‘BRAVE’ COP PROTECTS SOCIETY BY SMASHING TINY WOMAN’S FACE IN THE GROUND
Bystanders at Barstool Sports Bar near Colorado State University were treated to a front-row seat at what could easily be described as a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) takedown of a fragile woman by what could be characterized as a bully cop. But, of course, police see the altercation differently.

When the video begins, a woman can be seen arguing with a Ft. Collins police officer. But when one looks closely, the officer can be seen positioning his hands on the woman in such a way as to be able to effect a near perfect body slam. And flawless it was. The seemingly fragile woman who was dressed in a party dress and high heels was, as some have said, brutally smashed on the ground.

No charges for the cop.

Seems excessive @barstoolcsu

2. COP SMASHES DRUNK MAN’S HEAD INTO THE GROUND FOR NO REASON, KNOCKING HIM OUT
A disturbing video was uploaded to Facebook in August by a West Virginia law firm showing their client get brutally taken down by a Huntington, WV cop. The hard to watch video is the perfect example of excessive force and has led quite the outrage online.

In the video, a man is being arrested for public intoxication. This man’s only ‘crime’ was being drunk while walking, yet this officer chose to escalate force to near-deadly proportions.

3. TYRANT COP KNOCKS HANDCUFFED WOMAN UNCONSCIOUS FOR NO REASON & LIES ABOUT IT
Last July, Tiffany McNeil would walk into the Branch County Jail in handcuffs only to leave in a stretcher moments later after being brutally assaulted by a police officer and knocked unconscious.

What happened while McNeil, 31, was being processed into jail that fateful day is now the subject of a federal lawsuit alleging that police used excessive force and then lied about what happened. The incident—in which a half dozen cops stood by and watched their brother in blue smash a handcuffed woman’s face into the pavement—was also captured on video.

4. COPS PUT TEEN IN A RESTRAINT CHAIR, TORTURE HIM WITH A TASER
A horrifying video was released earlier this year as part of a lawsuit on behalf of an 18-year-old man who was tasered over and over again while strapped in a restraining chair. The video looks like something out of a horror movie.

The nightmare for Jordan Norris began last year, in November, when a SWAT team raided his home because he was allegedly selling drugs. Selling willing people a substance they want to voluntarily ingest, however, in no way justified the treatment Norris would receive.

After Norris was arrested, police dragged him out of his cell and strapped him in a restraint chair.

In the extremely disturbing video, Cheatham County Sheriff’s Deputies are seen holding Norris down with a gag while another deputy sadistically and repeatedly deploys the taser, over and over and over.

5. DANIEL SHAVER MURDERS AN INNOCENT UNARMED DAD WHO WAS BEGGING FOR HIS LIFE
In March of 2016, Mesa Police Officer Philip Brailsford was charged with second-degree murder for gunning down Daniel Shaver, an innocent husband, and father of two. The shooting was captured on body cam footage, part of which was released the following May. Earlier this month, however, a jury, apparently blinded by the badge delivered a verdict of not guilty and the rest of the body camera footage was released—showing a cold-blooded murder.

Jurors deliberated less than six hours and despite the horrifying body camera showing Brailsford execute Shaver, they somehow returned a not guilty verdict. This is a travesty of justice and a testament to the system that protects killers who wear badges.

As we watch the videos above, a disturbing pattern is exposed. Police in the land of the free kill more people in a single year than most Western countries have killed in decades. Although the videos above are disturbing, they serve to highlight the extreme need for change among American cops

A few comments here. We are always going to have bad cops. There is no system that can prevent this. What pisses me off about these videos, is how these individual bad cops, aren't held to account.

Some of the language the author uses here demonizes all cops, which I think we should avoid. The biggest problem we face with police today, is a lack of accountability.

No one should be able to do these things, and remain a free individual.

I don't see how this could possibly be a controversial idea.

Hope you are ready for people to come in a defend the poor cops and tell you how cops do nothing wrong.

I understand that there will always be a small percentage of bad cops that do bad things. The problem lies with the others. The majority who allow it to happen and refuse to stand up against their "brothers". It is by their inaction that the entire group is judged.

I think the answer to this revolves around how institutions can shape culture.

I think if there wasnt a culture that was encouraged by political institutions that make up the hierarchy of police departments, that individual cops would step forward.

As fair as it is to say black America has a culture problem leading to the majority of violent black murder. I think it is fair to say police have a culture problem with protecting scumbags, that happen to wear a badge.

I think the key realization from this pov, is in recognizing that the political motivations to reinforce that culture, are different than the granular motivation for a good cop, that wants to do the right thing, but doesn't due to repercussions.

There is an ethos pervasive within law enforcement where the police see themselves as the blue line. They're not the bad guys, or the good guys, they're essentially the guard dogs. This, combined with the blue code of silence, shows there is systemic injustice on a nationwide scale. If you know someone is doing wrong, and you, while being in power to do something about it, refuse to do so, are you bad as well? I know what my parents taught me.

"Cops have an extremely difficult job, and can't be judged appropriately in hindsight"

...

"Bootlicker!!!"

Fin.

Btw, hadn't seen that last video. That cop is a murderer, and is walking free. I would love to see anyone defend that scumbag.

It would be so fun to be corupt cop. Lke vick mackie.

This was the worst. And those @#%$@#$ filming it laughing. . . I would have like to put a good beating on them.
I think unfortunately the type of person who wants to be a cop even has some serious issues.

Oh that first video, where the guy laughs is crazy. WTF is wrong with that dude.

We probably shouldn't take South park too seriously, but they did this episode in the last season where they basically apologized for all of America's problems due to jokes that make fun of people in a ruthless manor, and how South park played a role in normalizing that kind of sociopathic behavoir.

Hope you are ready for people to come in a defend the poor cops and tell you how cops do nothing wrong.

I've never seen anyone say cops do nothing wrong. Just people who want acknowledgement that A) most cops are just regular people like you and me who want to have an easy day and go home safe to their families and B) being a police officer is a very dangerous and largely thankless job, and cops don't deserve to be judged by the negative actions of some bad apples.

The fact is, tens of thousands of arrests are made across the country every day without incident, but one questionable act by a cop negates all the good cops do for some reason. Cops are just humans, and humans are prone to error. Humans lose their temper. Humans judge situations wrong. Not saying it's right, but it's going to happen.

some of these incidents are so clearly a cop wanting to try out a throw he learned in UFC class that he couldn't get on another adult male.

This is why I don't like BLM, or some of the language this article uses.

You can derail a debate, before it even starts, in your opening statement.

Demonizing cops is counter productive.

The problem, as with the discussion of black culture, and black murder rates, is how do you discuss the culture problem that is the root of the problem, without criticizing the whole group?

I notice that police officers sometimes physically discipline people who give them attitude or resist their orders.

They start throwing punches or slamming them on the ground from frustration.

It reminds me of a more extreme example of parents striking their kids in similar situations.

Police are protectors. Maybe when people resist or show them attitude the instant rage feels similar to them to an adult having their teenage child tell them to go fuck themselves.

Its gonna be interesting in the future when it turns out the percentage of dangerously defective robocops is about the same as it was when organics were upholding the law of the land.

There is definately something psychological to it. My buddies father in law was a lifetime cop. He really got to know the guy, and his cop friends. He was struck by how into rpg, or fantasy books, or gameplay of some sorts was a shared interest. Apparently they were all aware this was unusual, and pointed him to some study showing cops having inclinations to this.

Speaks to a possible white knight kind of detachment of reality. Where perhaps that guy in the last video really thought he was doing the right thing in murdering that kid for not listening to him, where the kid freaks out because the cop was coming across as a psychopath.

Hear say of course. Never saw the study. Can't source it. Wasn't there. I tend to trust my friend though.

Only until emp grenades become common place.<Moves>

No ethical dilemma in frying a bucket of bolts.

The main problem with blaming "The Thin Blue Line" or "Code of Silence" is that it's either inconsequential or misdirected. In most cases, these are investigated and charges brought by outside entities: District Attorney's offices, state/federal agencies, etc. Pointing at the everyday beat cop and saying, "That guy enables a culture of brutality by his silence and that's why these other cops don't get charged or get found not guilty once they're found out," doesn't work on any level.

I can see this. It makes sense that people attracted to a vocation would idealize it and would have a basis for that ideal in common. I've played rpgs since college and I virtually always play the goody-two-shoes route.

can you please show the top 5 videos of people that deserved to be arrested?

So to the part about these bad cops being held accountable, I disagree.

Look at that last video, and tell me if you think that was a model cop before that day, and when he woke up the next day he was a psychopath.

I would be willing to bet that he had a history of undocumented highly questionable behavior.

Everything about what he was doing and saying was wrong. That was a man that felt untouchable. And as the not guilty verdict proves, he was right.

To the fantasy point, I don't want to come across as saying there is something wrong with escaping reality. Just That I wonder why cops according to hear say, would be more inclined to it. Maybe just that some kind of coping mechanism being reinforced by delusions of grandeur could be leading to some of this behavoir.
