5/3/1 clarification?

It sounds like you're not even doing SS right (unless I misread/misinterpreted something). You're supposed to be squatting everyday.

Also you will get stronger slower on 5/3/1 than SS

I've basically stalled for a month solid now on SS which is why I'm looking to switch it up. My lifts aren't to where they were back before I dropped 60 lbs, but they're comparable. I could possibly start making some gains again if I upped the eating even more, but I don't feel like doing that with my binging problem that flares up.

Just because your training poundages may be more does not necessarily mean you are getting stronger faster. If you only deadlift 315 for 5 reps in SS but pull 270 for 10 reps using 5/3/1 you've actually moved more weight during that session and, using the Brzycki formula, are actually of similar strength.

Jim didn't design 5/3/1 for people to become overnight Hulks. It was designed with the intent of continous progression, while leaving something in the tank. As well as avoiding injury. Which for a 41 year old firefighter with a string of weekend warrior injuries on his r

Either "read a friend's copy" or just do a more worth-while program.

GTS is a huge improvement, IMO. Check out Godsen's log.
