437 lbs to 250 - low carb

Wow. That's incredible. Good job man.

Btw, 14 year old you would kick your ass now.

2 year anniversary today.

This year I went from 274.8 to 220 - about 54 lbs. Not as much as last year, where most of my weight loss occurred, but still about 4 lbs a month average, so I won't complain! My waist size two years ago was something like 62 and my shirt/short size was 4x. I'm now down to a L shirt and 36/38 waist (just as of friday when I had to buy yet another wardrobe).

I just had an epic cheat meal (the type where you eat until you are about to puke) at my favorite brazilian steakhouse for father's day. Probably will set me back a few weeks, but it's nice to cheat every once and awhile.

Dude wtf were those two giant spikes? A cheatmeal that sets you back 30lbs?

Yup. See before you the most carb sensitive person in the history of nutrition - as far as I can tell.

Those are short holidays involving about 3000-5000 calories and a lot of refined carbohydrate. I can gain 30 lbs in less than a week of eating like that. Some say it's water, but it doesn't change the fact that it takes me a long time to get rid of nowadays. I gained 7 lbs this weekend from 2 cheat days, it'll probably take at least a week and a half to get rid of. I usually eat 1400-1800 calories on a daily basis with 60-70% fat, 25-35% protein, 5% carb for comparison.

All the more props to you in that case. Stick with it, homes. You're in the final phase now! What's your goal weight?

I dunno man. It keeps changing. The original goal was 250, which I thought would be impossible. Now its 210. The lowest I can imagine myself going is in the 180s. I"m naturally endomorphic and broad, so who knows.

hovering around the same weight, up a bit from cheat meal related bloat from last week and digestive issues. Started taking magnesium citrate for the latter but I think restarting my training program and eating more fiber will alleviate it, hopefully.

Back to the gym after a 1 month cutting break and working harder than ever - felt amazing to rack the weights and then drive home with the summer breeze last night. I have also added AT LEAST walking and running if possible (if soreness allows) for 1 hour a day on my non-lifting days. That now means i'm doing a 5 day rotation a week:

sunday: rest
mon: rest
tue: lift
wednesday: cardio
thursday: lift
friday: cardio
saturday: lift

I think i'm going to do minimal effort on saturday (more reps) and maximum effort on tue/thursday

My goal this year is to finalize my weight loss and then really become a monster athletically speaking.

I'm too lazy to update the other log in the strength forum (that would require me to bring my logbook from car to my house and remember to bring it back etc) so i'll probably occasionally post descriptive updates here.

You got a smartphone? Type everything down in a textmessage then just copypaste it. It's what I do with both my diet and training logs.

Kick ass and take names, mang.

Perfected salmon! The first two times I made salmon it was good, but this time was amazing. Those little crispy parts are Toi Phi, a vietnamese variety of fried garlic. It was also seasoned with lemon salt mix and pepper. Organic olive oil. Some shredded Parmesan cheese on the yogurt/asparagus (latter was also sauteed) http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/recipe/2901805/2

Looks like you've upgraded to a real gym. Nice work man.

Power lifting gym - I am probably the weakest dude there and that's saying a lot considering I did the most weight I saw in my old gym. There's 600+ lb squat PRs on the wall done by dudes like 30 lbs lighter than me - it's a scary place. But there's also a thick sense of "no bullshit" - people noticeably look down on you if you try to cheat on form and everyone is in the zone. Pretty cool.

Merge it in here and become the undisputed king of f92.

Somehow managed to gain 28 lbs (of water?) from a 4 day vacation with the family. I eat a lot of crap. Focusing on cutting that now. 10 lbs down in 4 days, pretty slow considering im doing alternate day fasting, heavy lifting, sprints etc. I am also experimenting with diuretics to try to reduce post-exercise related water retention and overall cheat meal related bloat - who knows if it will work but worth an experiment.

Have another 4 day holiday coming up the beginning of next month :/
