Kevin Holland came up on the wrong side of split decision against Australian standout Jack Della Maddalena in the co-main event at Noche UFC on Saturday.

While Holland immediately expressed his disappointment with the decision, many fans have accused “Trailblazer” of a lackluster showing.

Holland was coming off consecutive stoppage wins over Santiago Ponzinibbio and Michael Chiesa going into his Noche UFC clash against Maddalena. Holland has now issued a callout to welterweight veteran Neil Magny, who is ranked right above him. “Trailblazer,”who has made clear that title contention isn’t his immediate goal, proposed an unusual “loser cuts hair” matchup against Magny on his Instagram Stories.

“Props to [Jack], good guard. I'd like to go watch it back! I see y'all talking about poor performance. I really honestly thought I outworked dude but [what the hell] do I know? [For] those that ride with me, how about Neil Magny loser cuts [their] hair.”

Magny went on to share Holland’s callout on his own Instagram Stories, which “Trailblazer” perceived to be a nod to trade leather.

Im tired of seeing this unserious show-up money clown in every main event doing the bare minimum when there are others whos more deserving of the spot than him.
He should be moved to early prelims or better yet cut his ass.

He's everything the UFC and an average fan wants.

Fights constantly. Consistently puts up exciting fights. Willing to lose just to entertain. Takes whoever he is given, even if it's someone like Khamzat.

They won't let Holland go till they've milked as much as they can from him. And Holland wouldn't have it any other way.

This is true. I used to enjoy watching him at the beginning but im over it now, surely he cant keep this forever

I dunno. Both are adjacent to one another in the rankings and coming off losses, so it isn't a terrible call-out in that sense. But Holland just beat the brakes off Chiesa who dominated Magny back in the day before offhandedly giving Neil shit in the post-fight interview -- implying that he thinks very little of him and his talent as a fighter. Sure, you could say that's just promotion, but when you go out of your way to dismiss a guy's skill set and then later call them out when you're coming off a loss and need to rebuild your momentum... maybe not the best look.

Personally I don't care all that much, though. It's all white noise at the end of the day. Either let them fight or make them both play gatekeeper to someone like Randy Brown, Gunnar Nelson, Carlston Harris, Michael Morales, or Khaos Williams for all I care.

I'm guessing he sees Magny as an easy KO and wants back at better matchups ASAP. While I thought Magny won his last fight his lack of urgency is something fans seem to hate so until he gets a KO he's probably back to riskier fights with less reward.

Rasslin loves its hair vs hair matches, so I guess this makes sense lol

Wait until the "loser leaves town" gimmicks start. Do those for a few cards and maybe they avoid some of the layoffs
