  1. Masvidal is meeting with UFC brass this
week in Las Vegas, I’m told. It says here they’ll try to make the much-ballyhooed Leon Edwards vs. Masvidal fight in early 2022. I don’t hate the fight, but I hate that it might happen two or so months after the welterweight title fight in November. That fight should have happened around the same time as Usman vs. Covington 2

Lol what does poor Leon have to do to get a title shot

They're pretty evenly matched.

I'd guess Edwards is a bit stronger, and could probably out-grapple Mas, and maybe knock him out, but he tends not to go for the kill too much, so Mas might just do that and get the W.

50/50 fight though imo.

This fight is long overdue. Book it Dana!

I don’t mind Leon, but he’s a hard sell to the average fan. He lacks charisma and marketability. His style is also very technical and decision oriented. Even when he dominated Nate for 24 minutes, all anyone talked about was Nate rocking him. From a business standpoint I can see why the UFC gave Colby and Jorge title shots over him.

He shoots himself in the foot every time he starts to get over, I used to think he just had bad luck, which he kinda does, but he’s also one of these guys that’s like anti marketing. If he just played the game he would be doing a lot better.

Now that Masvidal is 0-2 against and has lost his 'BMF' status, NOW he wants Leon
Why the hell would he fight Leon if he was granted two title fights? No sane fighter would turn down a title shot unless the alternative is Conor McGregor.

I think Edwards is slightly better everywhere + being the overall bigger fighter, however Masvidal's intensity could get him a finish early. Feel bad for Edwards though, he deserves the title shot most out of everyone and is constantly getting shafted lmao.

Ignored Leon's callout ever since they had beef, suddenly after he saw Leon get rocked by Nate he's all in.

Our fearless BMF !
