I don't think there's any ranked light heavyweight UFC fighter that has ever had a KO ratio lower than 22.22%.

A lot of fights at a higher level compared someone like Reyes who was knocking guys out on the regionals and has far fewer fights.

Jan knocked out Corey Anderson the 2nd time but probably should have the first time, also should have knocked out Manuwa and Cummins.

Jan has power, it's silly to look at those numbers and say he doesn't.

Being a KO artist is more than just power. He's a light heavyweight, most (more than 50%) of light heavyweight matches end in KO. Jan has very few KO finishes.

Jan has been a ground game guy till late. It's not a reflection of his power but his strategy.

Jans power has increased considerably in the last few years. He's more accurate and sitting on his punches better. He's one of the few rare fighters who is not only better in his late 30s than he was in his 20s and early 30s, but considerably better. He's a legitimate elite fighter, one of the best in the world. Sort of crazy to think at 34 years old he was journeyman who was losing to guys like Patrick Cummins. I think he's the most apparent example of a late bloomer that the sport has ever seen.

Don't be stupid, he's a different fighter now. There's three kinds of lies, lies, damn lies and statistics. I find it so pathetic how many people here use stats to credit or discredit a fighter.

In the Randy and Chuck era, he would have been an absolute nightmare. He is a calculative KO artist which is why his stats show this, in my opinion is the best way to be.

In this sport, you see a lot of guys maintain their prime into their late 30s/early 40s, or decline very slowly, but you almost never see a guy get way, way better in his late 30s than he ever was. Jan is a complete outlier for sure.

It's one thing to have KO power, and there's another thing to know how to use it. He's learned to use it more in his last few fights by counter punching and punching off the break.

Plus he has a shitload of submissions

There's only one way to know for sure. TS and Jan need to fight. If Jan fails to knock TS out then I will 100% say with confidence that he's not a KO artist. Assuming of course that Jan even accepts the fight given that TS, like all of us, is 6'3" and walks around at 220lbs, thicc, solid, n tight. So tight.

Nate Diaz has a similar record. He is primarily thought of as a striker, but would then catch subs when he caught people.
