Basically he says Connors straight left is going to have less of an impact in close range striking, because of less distance being traveled. Also he says Dustin should include shots to the body to drain his cardio.

Poirer goes down under 2 if he exchanges strikes with Conor. It's a shit strategy but what do you guys think of this?

If you've ever taken a solid shot to the body, you know it's the correct gameplan. If Dustin can manage to rip some good ones to the body early, shit can pay off.

It's a weird style matchup for Dustin though because everything Nate did well in the Conor rematch, Dustin can do even better. Everything except surviving that left hand.

Now, imagine Dustin with Nate's chin... This fight wouldn't even be fair...

Well what else is he supposed to do?

He isn’t going to take Conor down nor is he going to outclinch him, and Conor is also way better at range management. Dustin is going to get tagged regardless.

Rashad is right. His best bet is to drain Conor ASAP and he’s definitely capable of landing some good body shots.

Poirier's best punching is done in the pocket by a mile. At range his punches are a bit loopy, he can get caught reaching at times and Conor haw the longer wingspan and superior counter striking. Poirier wants to pressure, if hes exchanging he should he working his way inside, put combos together, getting cknor to the fence.

Not a bad game plan. McGregor has impeccable timing, accuracy and distance control but has issues with cardio. Take away the range that he is comfortable with and exploit the cardio issues.

I’m not so confident Dustin’s chin will hold up long term enough to employ this type of strategy, it’ll be an interesting fight regardless

conors karate stance and right hand probing leaves his right leg and right side of body wide open

getting close to strike with conor phone booth style imo is not a good idea especially when fresh b/c its hard to get close to him you will only set yourself up to get countered conor will make distance for his straight left to count

start off by targeting his right leg and body with kicks from a distance

If Conor is the same as when he left then he should make it look easy, and that’s no slight on Dustin - who is a tremendous fighter in his own right.

hard to take away range when he has great distance control it will work in latter rounds when hes tiered his distance control wont be great like in the two diaz fights

100%. Force Conor to grapple and worry about the shot. He spends the little amount of gas he has in scrambles trying to avoid those situations. If you can take him past the first 2 rounds his offense falls off really quick.

Conor might win agsin but theres no way I'd lay-235 in this fight .....no way. They're both filled out 155ers but Conors inactivity at 155 is a wild card while Dustin has been fighting the best and winning outside khabib. I'd absolutely favor Conor but Dustin comes in straight between the ears- he can win this . I'll be rooting for him.

Not sure about that! He cracked Khabib pretty good in the third!

No one can take that shoulder!
Conor has completed his game. No way to stay safe now! Shoulder domination!
But Dustin has looked like a tank at 155 eating punches left and right so money is on him! Unless it is a shoulder.

I imagine this will be in the big cage, kind of tough to keep him penned up in that,

I'm sure he wants to do that, yeah. Problem is Conor's distance management is incredible, combined with his hand speed and Dustin's gonna need to walk through some fire to employ that type of gameplan.
