His technique of fighting without a defense is just ridiculous. In the videos before the fight I saw him saying he wanted Brandon Moreno to propose the stand up fight, and then he went to fight with his hands around his waist. He was trying to avoid Moreno's jabs moving the torso backwards WTF!!!!!
That was ridiculous. Haven´t seen such a bad defense in a long time, much the less in a champ.
He may have been trying to call Moreno to a trap, but he was tagged time and time again without a response.
Very, very lame.

I think figgy can be accused of maybe not taking this fight too serious ( in which he should know better).

The re match will look alot different. I'm really interested in seeing what the people in Nevada think. I can a better pulse on what's going on. Figgy was only a 3-1 favorite and pretty much stood pat throughout. This line opens north of that, i believe alot of people will be disappointed in re match. The line goes south ( i mean - figgy won but it was alot more closer than expected- it was no " majority draw" .....again I think figgy was probably shocked by the start of 3rd round and was maybe thinking this kid was going to stick around for duration.... was even labored) and things could be interesting.

I'm just talking odds but odds off a re match of a " close" title fight. Ultimately, the fight has to be fought and anything could happen.

You mae be right. Also, I don´t want to downplay Moreno's efforts, to be honest. But I don´t remember the last time I saw a fighter expecting a fight basically in the stand up and go to the ring with his hands at waist level. Maybe it was excess of selfconfidence, maybe he was injured, maybe was taunting Moreno to come into reach. But it was painful to watch.
Also yes, he may have won three rounds (IMO), but the was much, much closer to be finished than Moreno.

He fought too carelessly. He always keeps his hands down but imo he was throwing too many power shots and didn’t pace himself well enough. I like him best when he goes into sniper mode. I think he convincingly wins a rematch if he fights a little smarter.

Figgy fought fine. People underestimated how good and especially how tough Moreno is. I thought Moreno won the 3rd round originally. I watched that round again and Figgy won that round too.

Kay...he always fights with his hands semi down and makes more use of head movements, like Cub Swanson. He did went in there a bit too reckless because Moreno isn't known to have great power. I'm sorry but the response is exaggerated and too dramatic, it's no where near as bad as you claim it to be.

Thought he definitely won the fight, even with the point deduction. The commentary was awful and so biased towards Moreno.
If it wasn't for Moreno's Mexican chin, he would have got a finish too.

Man, he's a beast for sure, this fight elevates Moreno more than it diminishes Daico. Figueiredo's mistake was cockyness tho, you could see he was afraid of getting tagged in the later rounds, afraid of being all mouth and then getting shutted the fuck up, having realized Moreno was for real and not at all the pussy he thought he'd be.
