JDS especially as a former champ vs an undefeated hot new prospect. I feel JDS/Gane should swap spots on the card with Dern/Jandiroba, and found the fight order quite surprising.

I'm fine with Souza's spot if Dern and JDS are swapped. Seems perfect that way.

I agree, and it's quite common, but disagree with this particular fight taking a back seat to Souza/Holland and Dern/Jandiroba. Especially the latter.

Correct, I think the first fight on the main card is the third most important after the main and co main. The middle fight they tend to put the least exciting generally I reckon, kind of like a breather.

JDS has let me down for a while. I always liked him. Loved him since he gave away the money on TUF.
The exciting thing about the heavies is that it’s always one punch away from being over

Works for me, huge JDS fan here so I am happy to get his fight out of the way. Nervous!!

Maybe they wanna get the exciting fight first, the mid fight sometimes is just a filler in a super stacked card.

JDS has looked terrible, unfortunately. That’s factors in, I imagine. Dude will probably retire soon, while Dern has the potential to be a draw. Dern is someone the org needs to promote.

Nah, I'm playing. Yeah, JDS and Gane is the higher ranked fight in a more marquee division. Souza will be re-ranked at MW soon enough, but yeah, sandwiching the womens fight between that and the heavyweights would be perfectly fine.

The UFC has made their strategy clear: veterans are either champions or top contenders. Any veterans outside of those classifications are there to put over younger talent. Dos Santos and Jacare unfortunately don’t fall into the first two categories.
