I remember people called him the goat not long time ago

But now i often see people saying that most of the actual MW roster/champs could have beat prime Silva.

Whittaker, Adesanya, Romero, Jacare, Moussasi, Rockhold (before his fall), Weidman (proved) etc

is Silva the Ronda Rousey of MW? Ultra dominant in a previous era when fighters where not as good as now?

he went the distance with izzy not to long ago aswell as DC not to long before that

he was 38 when he lost to weidman before that he looked unstoppable and those fighters he beat where good he just got old and his strengths rely on him being young and fast

Yep, all of the guys you named would beat prime Silva, other than Mousasi.

that'll happen when the next generation of fans only remembers you getting dominated

if you really take a fair and objective look at it, I think his wins age a LOT better than GSP
What about his losses?

Prime Anderson destroys all MWs and will remain MW GOAT for quite some time.

"Prime Anderson". Nice to see you back though little one.
ohhh.......thats what we've moved onto now? its no longer just a stroke of "double fluke" but now they are real wins, Anderson just wasn't in his prime any more.

No, Silva is not the RR of MW. Silva fucked up by getting caught on PED's and fighting way past his prime. The Prime Silva would figure his opponents movement/striking out for a round or two then pounce on them and get a KO/TKO.

I will say this, Silva looked pretty darn good with his movement/footwork up until he got clipped by Hall.

I was watching Silva-Griffin again. Silva knocks him on his bottom at about :40 in round 1, after that Forrest's equilibrium was off. Who knows what would have happened if Forrest remained more patient but that was not the case.

A lot of Silva's UFC fights are special to rewatch, specifically the early MW title fights.
