Saving Private Ryan
The Patriot.

the thin red line is by far the best movie on the list but its not really about war. its just set during a war. profound, deep. moving and powerful. one of the best movies i ever saw.

Why make a thread like this and leave off Red Dawn?

Platoon
Braveheart
Glory

Honourable mention:

FMJ
Basterds
Mohicans
Enemy At The Gates
1917
Apocalypse

It's hard to pick 3 because 4 of these are in my top 20 all time list

Braveheart
Saving Private Ryan
Hacksaw Ridge
The Pianist
Blackhawk Down

Black Hawk Down - by far number 1.

Lone Survivor - Probably number 2.... Doesn't get enough love imo.

Hawksaw Ridge, 1917 both up there as contenders for 3rd place.

Honourable mentions for Valkyrie and 13 Hours.

Need to re-watch Pianist. Not seen it since I was a kid.

Stalingrad, the GOAT, not on this list, so I only voted for 2.

Blackhawk down was really good

The Deer Hunter (which is definitely not getting enough love in the poll,) Saving Private Ryan, and Braveheart.

1. Ran
2. Lawrence of Arabia
3. Apocalypse Now

Not whining that it's not in the list cause those are my 3, but Cross of Iron would get an honorable mention

The only one I ever want to watch multiple times is Full Metal Jacket although I loved a lot of these films.
