290 to 260

Day 100!!!!!!!! 272.2 lbs.

Had a carb up today. Primarily because I was holding a lot of water. I tried not to drink too much, but I think I ended up drinking 2.5 liters of tea/water.
Thirst was strong.

Training: Walking relaxed - 3 hours. Tanning - 12 minutes. Weights - 1 hour, pretty intense.

Diet:

While it is getting harder physically, my mental toughness has grown by 1000%. I am in complete control of what I put in my body and how I train.

Pic update at 274.2 (Day 101)
Note: I take my pics first thing in the morning, no liquid or pump or anything.
Note2: Damn it, I am still fatter than 3 weeks ago at 269...e.e
Note3: Weight keeps stalling at around 272-274, not sure why but its annoying.

Dude, at your bodyweight the water fluctuations can be huge. I can be 97kg one day and 94kg another depending on how hydrated I am. I wouldn't sweat it, be consistent and focus on the mirror not the scale.

That's what my brain keeps telling me, but you get touchy and emotional on the diet lol.

Day 101 was very good.

No carb - Around 1200 calories. Mostly chicken and egg.

Training: 3 hours of walking, 30minutes of machine.

Day 102: 270.8 lbs
Ridiculous day.

Woke up, walked for an hour, and during my walk I thought : "Why not go for a fast for a while, I seem to have my mental toughness back." And that I did. Energy was through the roof today, was even horny as hell at noon.

Today diet - 3 litres of tea and water.
6 teaspoons of sugar, Ice Cap from Tim hortons.
Total - 350 calories.

Training: 4 hour of walking - mall, tanning salon, just walking around fast.
40 minutes of machine ( it says 870 calories, but I think it's closer to 600).

Note: In before some gym rat idealist starts screaming about fasting - don't bother. I tried it before - and it bloody works. I am not going to do it in excess - several days, and only if I feel good.
Reasonable re-feed next weekend.

Day 103: 267.3 Finally reached lowest point since I started. Of course some water would be regained as waste, but still I visibly slimmed down.

yesterday night was very tough mentally, pretty much like right now. Been a bit light headed and dizzy. I can still walk for hours (ketosis), however, working is hard. Mood has been up and down. Sometimes I felt like "man, fck this weight loss", but my recently grown pair of balls prevented anything bad.

Today's diet: Green Tea Latte - small - ~180 cals
Ice Capp - medium - 220 cals
Mango Chiller - 12oz - 230 cals
Sugar in my tea - 80 cal
Around 730 calories total from carbs today to keep me sane.

Training: Walking ~2.5 hours. + Did very very light weights at YMCA - 45 minutes (just to get some blood action going)

Already thinking about my cheat day. Will resume the calorie-restricted diet on Wednesday or Thursday.

Knees... are not bothering me, despite the walking. Talk about healing power of fasting.

Thinking about buying a cheap gaming laptop. I get this urge once or twice per year to play some games for couple of weeks. Sort of a stress release for me.

Not a gamer, but a big fan of Dragon Age and Witcher series. Waiting for sequels.

Day 104: 266.3 lbs
Great day!

Broke the fast at 9.30 p.m. I went to the gym to just watch a new boxer spar our guys, but then got dragged into 40 minutes of light rolling, and very light boxing class.

When I came back - I had back cramps and some metallic taste in my mouth. I decided that it is a good sign to eat something.

Tomorrow: Resuming normal diet, would do a low carb to avoid bloating up for a weekly weight ins I do at BB.com.

Today's diet: Kim Chi Chigae - 650 calories, Rice - 240 calories, 2 apples- 160, Green Tea Latte - 220, Cappuccino - 180.

Workout - 40 minutes rolling, 1 hour boxing - both super light.
Walking - 4 hours.

Note1: Was at 265.0 right after workout ( I drank 1.5 litres there), so I assume I lost good weight overall.

Note2: Cheat day on Friday, can't wait. Going to eat sushi and waffles.

actually it would make sense to have a controlled cheat day tomorrow, then go all the way to July to hit 263.

Day 105: 266.0 Real man Cheat day.

Had continental breakfast with sausage and a big waffle with cream ~1400calories
Green tea latte x2, with pretzel ~600 calories
Bubble Tea large - 500 calories
Japanese Buffet .. not sure but a lot - ~2000 calories
Waffles ~900 calories
Sandwhich ~ 400 calories
Chocolate ~ 500 calories.

Total: ~6500 calories.

A day well spent, since I just got my diploma, solved applications and so on.

Good day... sick of food, want to get back to diet.

Day 106: Was a cheat day of sorts too. Coming off cheat days always been my weakest point. I just wanted waffles so baaaad.

I don't know what's up with my new found love for waffles sh$t.

But whatever. Day was full rest. Diet - ~4500 calories.

Day 107: Still in the rabbits hole.
Too many things happening to focus on the diet. However, I did exercise as usual today, so Caloric surplus should be 300-600 - no big deal. I must however not repeat my past mistakes of ruining all the progress.

Day 108: Diet but not active.

Calories - around 1200.
Training: none.

Big news - Bought a monster gaming MSI laptop. Not a gamer, but fck it. I want to play sometimes too.

Day 109:\Uneventful day, except I sold my 2011 Mac for 500$ - yay. I bought it for 700 and used i for 2 years... good deal.

Calories - around 3500.
Activity - almost none.

Day 113: Back to the gym. I think I needed a mental break for some time now, and it worked well. I played Mass Effect 1,2,3 to the death - had this urge for several months haha. But played out now - ready to get back to work.

Diet was not horrible, but still must have gained 3-4 pounds. Going to fast for 3 days starting from tomorrow to quickly negate the damage from my vacation.

I wanted to wait until 260 to implement IF, but I will see. Might start it sooner.

Cheers.

Day 114: Excellent day - fasting.

Not much to report - went to the dentist and bowling hah.

Are you following an Eat-Stop-Eat type of protocol?

As of today I'm back doing a 16/8 intermittent fast ala Leangains, 20% calorie deficit. It's much more gentle and maintainable than 24 hour fast and lets me train every day. However a pro MMA fighter I know used to do a 24 hour fast once a week, and do an hour of fasted cardio during, and he lost 20lbs that way to get his stubborn fat off.

Hey. my plan was to start a more aggressive 20/4 protocol once I get to a solid 260 pounds. Right now I am around 20%, so I can still afford large caloric deficit.

I plan to use my old trusty liquid diet. I drink mostly water, and if I have cravings I would drink a latte or go to Booster Juice. It's aggressive, but very effective.

I will keep it up for several days.

Interesting note: During my last 7 days when I didn't exercise or walk - I noticed a large increase in muscle size, especially the areas I have been working on - arms, forearms and traps.

Its not just glycogen - because I wasn't glycogen depleted before, and not simply better definition due to fat loss. I noticed it beore as well - I would kill myself in a gym, eat a very strict diet - and after I take a week off - I would get noticeably more muscular once I come off the regimen.

Perhaps the body adjust to the stress when it has the resources and increases the muscles first? Maybe it's just me - my whole family is full of big athletic guys. My father is a runner/kickboxer - still huge even though he didn't train for like 20 years.
