Movies 28 YEARS LATER (Official Trailer)

I'm sure the lenses helped but you can't tell me you get the same result using a phone then one of those big heavy professional cameras that only have one job and purpose.

From the youtube trailer I know compression and all that but other movies trailers look better so it has affected the movie. Artistic choice to look similar to the first one but then again they had no pull and resources so it was used from necessity to hide the shortcomings but now the budget is 10 times bigger and they go with a freaking phone camera.
This is the setup

It’s going to look great

shit yeah! been waiting the longest time for this. last i bothered reading about this this series was that they werent going ahead with the third instalment. so seeing this trailer has got me all kinds of excited!

Maybe the virus is zoonotic
First thing i thought of was this scene. They went through the effort of showing human blood dripping from the bird into his eye.nit actially changes everything if it was just a drop from the bird but because its the corpses blood it shows it wasnt transferable at the time.

Maybe the virus is zoonotic
The rage virus is zoonotic, it jumps from chimps to people in the beginning.

So, being a virus it could have evolved and jumped back or gone into a latency period.

Edit. Btw it’s called Anthropozoonotic when the virus jumps from people back to animals.

Explaining this to pepple who didnt understand why ...

You know what never mind

Would have been way more excited about this 10 years ago before Garland put out two massive stinkers in a row and a mid movie before that.

I really loved the first film and the second film was pretty decent too with not only the best ‘infected’ scene in cinema but the greatest movie opening ever IMO.

But Garland has been shooting blanks for many years now and they skipped Months entirely. Don’t have a good feeling at all.

Isn’t Alex Garland the one who did that ridiculous Civil aware movie?
Men, too…. Maybe the worst film I’ve seen in 10 years. 28 Days, Ex Machina, Dredd were all great films but his bad ones outnumber the good now - and it’s been a decade since his last good one.

Update: December 10, 2024

Official Trailer for Danny Boyle's 28 YEARS LATER Starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award®-nominated writer Alex Garland reunite for 28 Years Later, a terrifying new story set in the world created by 28 Days Later. It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well. In theaters June 20, 2025.

That’s an awesome trailer. The audio they use is genius it’s creepy and matches the tempo of the trailer.

That’s how you fucking do it.

Love the other two movies. Gonna be first in line for this. But Im kinda "28 years and you cant contain this shit?"

But I wont care.

i’m w/ @koquerelle on this.

Yea, the audio is so frickin creepy and sets the perfect tone of despair that these people must exist in every day, I didnt realize it was a poem, I thought it was some sort of emergency radio system broadcast in the film, giving out daily information to survivors sorta like those Russian numbers stations

What a great trailer, hopefully the movie holds up. 28 Days is a masterpiece, 28 Weeks is still a serviceable zombie movie

That first movie was so good. I also love the classics as in night of the living dead and dawn of the dead but I rank 28 days just as high. Everything about that movie including the soundtrack is great. I still rewatch it from time to time but the zombie genre has been overdone similiar to as it was in the 80s. Id still watch that movie though when it comes out.

Yeah it’s a Kipling poem about marching in Africa (the Wiki has the same audio as the trailer)

Also looks like some of the original players from the 1st two films will make appearances as well. I haven’t been excited about a film in a while so I hope a badass trailer isn’t the only thing this film offers.

They’re doing a trilogy I guess and the director they hired for the next film ain’t a good choice so hopefully this film at least holds up.
