Elections 26 FBI Informants Present on Jan 6

Here ya go @Islam Imamate. The original Jan 6 thread was closed. Nobody wants that discussion in the lounge where peeps are kicking their feet up.

Appropriate means? You think organizing a protest to overturn the election is appropriate?
If you thought you won then its the only means to show disapproval. Its constitutional etc.
What makes you say that? If Pence threw out the real electors and chose the fake ones who knows what would've happened? Do you think the military would try to overthrow the commander in chief?
Yes the military would the same way any commander is relieved of duty in such event. Trump would have had to set this up way ahead of time to make sure they had support otherwise it's useless
When should have Trump been charged for it not to look fishy? Should Trump have been charged at all in your view?
Certainly not years later....

You think pressuring the Vice President to overturn the election is constitutional?

Why? He the commander in chief, they answer to him.
Certainly not years later....
So when?

I don't know constitutional or unconstitutional if Trump had been right. Thing was he had no evidence so even if you think you're right it doesn't make any sense to do that which is why Pence even for all the grief he has gotten over the years did the right thing
Why? He the commander in chief, they answer to him.
Yeah but at any point in the military a commander can be relieved of Duty because they are acting erratically or irresponsibly in their duties. The president may be the highest ranking Commander but the principle still applies
Most all the data that was out came out fairly quickly. And most of the time you just need enough to charge someone then you can build your case when the trial is set Etc. So I would think within that first year.

But you acknowledge Trump was trying to get Pence to do the wrong thing right? As in, declare Trump president.

Sure but now we're counting on the military to disobey the commander in chief, you can see how thats not a given right?

You don't think they might've taken extra precaution in charging a former president? Do you even think Trump should be held accountable for Jan 6th or for stealing classified documents?

The electoral count act isn’t just “pence over turning the election”. Prior to any of that, they had 6-7 state objections, which would have lead to about 24 hours of floor presentations of various fraud allegations. Allegations that courts did not review, as most of the court cases did not have evidentiary hearings and were thrown out for other reasons.

Simply saying it was all about pence or not shows you don’t understand what was even happening. Simple as

Sorry I missed this. Wrong ultimately because it wasn't supported by evidence. You can't just go off of belief. There was never going to be a recount of 66 million votes within the short amount of time to declare a victor on January 6th. It's an unfortunate thing in a weird election like covid but it's the way it was and the way things are.

It just wasn't going to happen. That's why the military has hierarchy but also checks and balances itself

Not years. If theres evidence enough to just charge which actually is not that much then you can build a case one way or another. The within the first year is a lot of leeway. That's a long time from January 6th to the end of the year. Again most of the information was out pretty quick

But you agree it was wrong and Trump was trying to get Pence to do it anyway right?

Maybe that's true but so what? That doesn't change the fact that Trump tried to overturn the election.
Not years.
What makes you say that? You don't think it might take years to build a strong case in an unusual circumstance?

So you think they should've charged Trump when they had just enough evidence for an indictment? Why? You don't think Feds should try to build a strong case first?

Yes. I've said as much all along. Pence was in the right here.

To stop things for the case of finding Justice. Not dictator style coup

No typically these things are reviewed in pretty short order. You get enough evidence to charge but you have lots of time to prepare your case before trial sometimes years

Feds have a lot of resources at their disposal. In a short amount of time they had whatever they had.

Hey bro, first of all this title is misleading, at least in the sense that it's basically a conspiracy theory. Informants are people from criminal groups. The more informants means more criminal groups that attended. Informants aren't agents with any power granted to them by the institution.

Peaceful protests are fine but not calling for a rally near the Capitol and then riling up the crowd and sending them there to influence the certification of the election. Claiming Trump is completely innocent because right at the end he states be peaceful after telling people to fight is pretty much eye roll worthy.

Also that's completely ignoring the entire fake Electors scheme and Trump's personal attempts to influence the election process. You're a good guy, a good dad, and I appreciate you being here but you're definitely on the right and make excuses for Trump's transgressions.

You, my good man, have zero credibility. You've gone so far as to state Putin was a genius and that the Russian economy was going to skyrocket due ro the price of oil when they invaded Ukraine. I don't know about AI but your LB synopsis is that you're a brainwashed Trump supporter.

He also wouldn't want the military there if he was intent on having something real go down unless he just wanted all those people dead.

I'm not making excuses. I'm giving my thoughts. It's a big reason why he was elected again. I'm not the only one thought a lot of things were Shady about the indictments about everything. It makes it hard to know. Thanks on the good dad comment with the exception of me scalping my son last night.

January 6 is the most serious condemnation of Trump being allowed to wield the power of the Presidency. I'm sure, considering the left/right makeup of this forum, that it was a complete shitshow worthy being locked but by no means does it mean it was locked because Trump was innocent.

It was 2000 posts in. Just crazy

Right which makes Trump wrong to be clear

No, he was asking Pence to toss out the electors from the 7 swing states he lost in favor of fake electors so he could be declared president. The whole point of doing the protest on Jan 6th is because that is when the electoral votes are counted.

Right which is why it took time for the case to work through the courts.
