Maybe McDavid can get traded to a American team so he can win a cup. Canadien teams cannot win Stanley Cup <DCrying> even though its their sport n their cup. Very sad. Very sad.

I don't know why everyone is so sure McDavid will win a cup if he leaves to a new team. He's already passing his peak and the league has 32 teams. It's hard as hell to win.

Gretzky never won another cup after leaving the Oilers. And that was when the league had 21 teams. The Oilers however did win another one without him.

McDavid is too damn good not to but damn Canada is cursed ! Last time a Canadien team won I had just Graduated High School. .......... Im in my 50s.

I only really care about Edmonton winning tbh. Having said that, the Oilers have been the best Canadian team during the drought. I've watched them make the finals in 2006, last year, and again this year and they lost in 7 twice and are looking to probably lose again. I'll probably skip at least the regular season next year if they lose either of the next 2 games. It's getting really annoying.

That's why I think it's stupid that they are wanting to expand the league to 36 teams. It's already way too unlikely that your team will win. It's even somewhat probable that they won't ever win in your lifetime.

Was hoping Edmonton would get the cup this year but I'm thinking Florida in 6 (they'll win the next game imo).
 
yea was expecting more from the Oilers tbh.

I think their lines are unsettled and tender issues persist.
 
I have no clue who I'd start for a do or die game 6 on the road between Skinner and Pickard now.

Right. Watching the Panthers this series is like watching the lions where the closer to the end it gets the scarier it is and you almost expect trouble.

It feels kinda weird to be enjoying watching Marchand

I'm getting my hopes up for seeing old man tkachuk with his sons and the cup again. Man I wish he woulda won one when he played.

McDavid is all finesse and it's hard to have a good series against a team that is on the ice to beat your ass.

Yeah I remember he was on the one Thrashers team that was actually good but they got swept in the first round by NYR.

Wish he would have been one of us. I believe we could have drafted him but instead we got Keith primue or however the hell it was spelled. Sometimes the draft is like that and it's just how it goes but still it woulda been awesome

My fave player in our golden era (besides stevie) wasn't even a wing. Well cept in ea. He always held down my left side. And broke all of Gretzkys records. I always did like going right to left on that one timer. I don't know bout you but my team was good to go for season mode on 2 trades. Pronger being the other.

Really liked seeing a big American dude playing hard hockey and getting it done the exact opposite of Fedorov and Bure. But man he got fatter slower and worse post Winnipeg/Phoenix and just never was on the right team.

I can tell his sons learned a thing or 2 from the old man when I see them and I like that. Would love to have Matt and Brady in Detroit. Would love to see them together in Florida too. I like the idea of the tkachuk bros tearing it up together. I'd give you guys Larkin for matt in a heartbeat if I could.

Lotta people have soured on Stevie but I don't think I'm capable of saying a negative thing about the guy and feel like Larkin isn't getting his share of the blame. I would like to see him gone. Feel like he'd be happier too.

You think he bought that at the game right before doing that , or that he already had it and is a tkachuk fan or Florida is his other team ?

Bure as in Pavel? I believe Detroit didn't draft him because they didn't think he was eligible. Then Vancouver took him in the same draft in a later round. He was one of my favorites to watch as a kid, a damn shame they lost to the NYR in 94.
Keith was supposed to be a Blackhawk but the Jets/Coyotes scrounged up enough money to keep him.
