You can't infuse players with those characteristics. There's not some magic wand to make players play harder or with more "grit". On paper, they're a winner. That's all the guy can do.

As far as Kadri, are you serious? Guy was a liability. The Goalie situation is what it is. Again, on paper, we had guys that should've performed. There is no reason that Anderssen was lights out in the regular season, but a sieve in the playoffs.

This perpetual failure is all on the players. They didn't play to their potential. Shanny, Dubus, and the rest, did their jobs. Just didn't work out.

That's a fair complaint, but only predicated on Marner being a playoff flop. If the coin flips the other way, Shanny looks like a genius.

Just saying, players gotta play. If anyone blindly looked at this team's structure, with no knowledge of their playoff woes, they'd be wondering how many cups they won. It's an unbelievably stacked team. That's all you can really do as a team builder.
