21 trillion in debt

Do you think that had anything to due with the great recession the preceded him?

Yea absolutely. Bush got it rolling. However Obama did nothing to stop it and only added to it. That's why the globalists hate Trump. He's not a sellout like Bush or Obama. Notice how buddy buddy McCain Obama Bush Biden Were? All corrupt.

Trump maga.

I think we can now detect retardation simply by use of the word Globalist

Come collect.

You do realize that the debt is revolving right? new debt is used to pay for old debt all the time, T-bills have a maturity rate as short as 28 days.

So no, you dont need to "come" collect, you need to get in debt to pay for old debt all the time. And if the US stopped paying its debt it would mean economic implosion.

So then why worry about it? We are fucked either way, no?

While I don't buy his or hers entirely. He can't do anything without support from Congress and vice versa. I though have yet to hear of a Republican in Congress express concern over the tax cuts promoted by Trump. It is sickening that tax cuts are used as proxy bribes to get votes. Bush 1 basically lost to Clinton because he promised "read my lips. no new taxes" and then went ahead and did it.

When Clinton balanced the budget, as much credit as I want to give him for that, it was a bipartisan effort. Maybe, the last time the GOP pushed on balancing the budget and it wasn't a political bullshit.

Would you be down for a say... 10% spending cut across the board?

Lol.

Did you miss how trump’s tax cuts are scheduled to add like another two trillion to the deficit?

Keep in mind, this is in a GOOD economy; Trumpo doesn’t even have the Obama argument that adding debt was necessary to avoid total economic collapse.

Serious reply though, why the fuck do we need 700+ billion in military spending during peace time?

Because there will never be any peacetime with the US around.
They have pretty much been in a continuous spiral of war ever since its creation.
Most of them aggressive wars for financial gain.
The democratic capitalists have never seen a war they didn't like.
As long as wars are making money the US will never stop starting them.

Those tax cuts allow employers to hire more people...which increases production....which increases sales. Everything goes back into the economy when people spend their money. It's simple.

I bet all guys like you see are tax cuts for the rich.

We're not fucked either way. As long as debt isn't growing faster than the economy in nominal terms, it's indefinitely sustainable. The Trump cuts took us off that path so we'll need future tax increases to get us back on. It's not hopeless, but it's a problem that needs to be solved.

This is dumb. Most businesses would be better off with world peace. Whether one agrees or disagrees with foreign policy, you put yourself on a better path to understanding it by assigning realistic motivations to people involved.

Aside from the ones that profit from war

Hence "most" rather than "all." But it's "most" by a large margin. If business interests were driving policy, we'd have a lot less war.

Business interests are driving policy (that's easily verifiable, Princeton even has a study on it), that's a big or perhaps the main reason why we're in so many conflicts. Whether or not some or most businesses prefer peace is irrelevant if the ones that profit from war are getting their way. Businesses contribute plenty to politicians and defense contractors even advertise on MSM.

Anyway, what businesses interests would prefer a policy of peace? Genuine question. Or, rephrased, what businesses are hurting from our continuous conflicts around the world?

They're will be wars with any super powers around, tell me one super power or in our case hyper power that has had a war under its watch.

The burgeoning tourism industy that would have taken hold in Syria, Libya, and Iraq, and chinese oil interests in Afghanistan.

Anthony Bourdain No Reservations was in Syria before the Civil War broke out. That place was getting hyped like cray son.
