I think he'll be reasonably happy. Although tomorrow could be quite spicy and he's lost the chance to just disappear into the distance without having to make any overtakes.

I hope Abu Dhabi is exciting. It's going to be hilarious if Max is out clear in P1 and Lando lower than P4 with Oscar somewhere between. Does Oscar let Lando by? Does he go full on heel and tell them to piss off? With Lando only needing P3 to win the WDC, I am guessing he will qualify P1 or P2 and then go extremely cautious into T1 like he did today.

Race Summary:

Hell Yeah Max!! - Still in the hunt. Though I can't imagine him taking, what, 12 points out of Lando in the last race at least there's shot.

WTF McLaren?? - Trying to treat them all equal screwed them both over. I was under the impression the race leader gets preferential treatment for that particular race if no clear cut #1 drive in the team. In the end, I don't think it'll matter. I think Lando wins the title but still. At least it made it interesting for us fans. Is McLaren trying to lose the title? A double DQ and then this?? lol. Snatching defeat from the jaw of victory.

Also...WTF Kimi??? I know he didn't let Lando through and he slipped up which LAndo took advantage of, but man....those 2 points are big indeed.

As I said, I'd still obviously put money on Lando if I had to bet but I would love to see Mad Max pull this off.

McLaren I feel have tried to screw over Oscar all year. Just my opinion. It’s coming back to bite them in the ass. I hate max, but him winning would be a fitting end to a debacle of team management. Not bringing in Oscar during the safety car is crazy. Oscar should have stayed out for an extra lap on that last stop just to prove a point. Make them box Lando unexpectedly and scramble for tires.

Oscar will let him by imo if there is zero chance he wins. Would be last lap decision.

Yup. It's clear McLaren was saying "There is no #1, let them race" but in reality they pushed for Lando to win all season. I get it, UK/England darling and all. But if I"m Oscar, I'm pretty pissed about how the team treated me. At the same time, what's he gonna do? McLaren clearly had the best car this year so you don't want to leave and end up at some crap team either. I just cannot understand why they didnt' pit Oscar, or even double stack em like every other team did.

Also they had that amazing pit......was it for Oscar or Lando.....where it was like a 1.8 or a 2.2 and he just barely made it out in front of Alonso (I think it was Alonso) and the DRS train. They get incredibly fortunate on that.
