Wild qualifying session, non stop red flags.

Ya. Crazy !! For a minute I thought the top 3 was going to be Sainz Lawson and Kimi. Lol.

good race for all red bull cars. i think it is the first time this season that all 4 cars got into the points

i dont think max can turn it around, only 7 races left. he has a slight chance if norris and piastri continue to fight each other and end up with more dnf's

It was on at 4am our time so didn't watch. Was it a good race? It's so difficult to overtake so assumed with Max on poll that wouldn't change.

No it wasn't. oscar crashed in the first lap but he also had a terrible start. he started from 9th place but he actually started rolling before the lights went off.....so he braked again because of course he didnt want to get penalized....but then when the lights did go out and everybody started.....he couldnt get off. he fell back to 20th place and not much later (still first lap) he crashed into the wall.

Piastri was a couple of spots behind Norris of course and he wanted to gain a few spots with a quick start but it backfired hard. I still think a Mclaren driver will be world champion but if the 2 Mclaren drivers are in each others head and start making more big mistakes......well Max doesnt really do that.

Gotcha. After quallies I was pretty certain we'd be fucked and Max would get the w. After all the red flags in qually I'm just glad everyone made it out alive.
So difficult to overtake.
Onward to Singapore, it's 6am rather than 4 so I'll make sure I'm up to watch.

too early for me as well. super tight, tricky course. uncharacteristic of Piastri to crash TWICE (in P1 and in the race.)

I heard a rumor that they're not satisfied with Russell for what he's getting paid and Toto is keen on Max.
I also heard Hammy might be kicked to the curb at Ferrari so there's that.
who knows.

well max confirmed that next year he will be at red bull. and since the summer break....max came in 2nd and won 2 grand prix's. I reckon Max stays at Red Bull untill he sees what the new regulations will do to the playing field......he can always leave later when he sees wich team has the best car

I feel bad for Lewis, he only went there because it was his dad's dream to have a son drive for Ferrari. It hasn't worked out in his favour.

Yup. I was thinking the same thing. Perfect chance for Lando to make up serious ground on the championship but he crapped the bed. Also, I don't think it was on purpose or anthing to help Max, but Lawson and Yuki really screwed Lando over, especially Lawson just tooling around at the end. lol. It was clear that Lando. Lewis, and Charles were all faster than either Liam or Yuki, but Yuki couldn't get around Lawson and the other 3 just got stuck behind Yuki. I'm 99% sure Lando would have gotten 5th if he could have overtaken Yuki b/c he would have easily overtaken Liam soon after that.

Good on Carlos and Williams though!

I guess that's what happens when you are an F1 driver, make millions, and have access to elite clubs and locations that most people only dream of. Just start dating an F1 driver and you get to travel the world on the company's dime. Ya, you gotta put up with some dorks like Lawson and that cardboard cutout of a human named Lance Stroll, but I guess it's worth it for them.
