2025 Motorsports Thread

6 AM isn't a problem really.
It's those 430 starts that I can't/won't make.

On a side note, why was Max left with only a set of hard compound tires towards the end?
That certainly dashed any hope he had of competing with the front runners.

What a shit race by Red Bull. Why pit even during yellow if all you have left is a set of new hards? Better off taking first when they all pit and hold on for dear life with his worn out soft for 3rd as it’s obvious both McLaren would have passed him.

Then the team told max to give George the place and the stewards wouldn’t have made him. Of course max goes insane and rams George costing him 11 points.

We know they did it bc they probably figure George was gonna pass him eventually anyway and wanted the 5th place finish but still. Not impressed

All around mess by max and Red Bull. And having Yuki start from the pits bc of some set they wanted to change.

never heard of him tbh
Shame, he and Ewan MacGregor's motorbike travel documentaries have been a must watch for me for a good 20 years. I prefer the ones with him and Ewan but Race to Dakar was amazing. Their books about the experiences are brilliant too.

Just looked them up, interesting.
My favourite is the original Long Way Round. In my travels I used to put the DVD in my suitcase and everywhere I've moved I've had it in my luggage as the first thing to watch as a settle in watch. Lot's of other stuff with the entire crew who are still with them camera/production staff. You fall in love with them as a whole family.

I hope they do SE Asia next. But they're never beating London to NYC all the way through Russia again.

Funny how Piastri has taken over from Norris as team leader.
