***2024 NBA Thread - Let The Games Begin***

tbf, playing an injured West is still harder than playing the Raptors year after year.
Yup and lebald’s cakewalk to the finals every season when he was in the East

Imagine getting blown out in the Conference Finals by Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis as a -700 favorite.

The icing on the cake is getting blown out by the Celtics the following year as a heavy favorite and blaming it on your teammate banging your mom.

GOAT legacy right there.

LMFAO. Pistol Pete averaged 24 and 4 when the talent pool in basketball was foosball level deep. There were likely 500 people playing the sport PART TIME. Good chance he'd be benched in a high school girls game in 2024.

Y’all steady calling players names.

Seems so personal it’s hilarious

Obviously back then the sport was younger, the talent pool was less, but he averaged 24 and 4 as you say without a 3 point line for most of his career. Adjusted for long range shots he probably averages 30 a game. And although the talent pool was smaller, his talent is undeniable. All the guys you see now with great handles, took from Pistol Pete in one way or another.

Yeah. Makes sense. A guy averaging 24 points against local mailmen would average 30 against an international talent pool.

He would be a poor man’s Josh Giddy on high usage.

Have you played ball ? Petes dribbling techniques are performed now by elementary school girls. Being the best ball handler when there were 400 ball handlers is impressive, sure. But there levels to this. His skills are rudimentary at best in the modern age
