Lmao Gobert straight up calling refs out
“I’ll bite the bullet again,” Gobert said. “I’ll be the bad guy. I’ll take the fine, but I think it’s hurting our game. I know the betting and all that is becoming bigger and bigger, but it shouldn’t feel that way.”
Next face of the league.
Next face of the league.
Anthony Edwards exists my dude
I love SGA, but ANT is everything these old fucks think Jordan was.
Touching back on Boston and having the best record and score differential in the league:
Overall record 62 games their record is 48 and 14.
They are an impressive 33 and 7 against the east, a whoppping 82.5 win pct.
Celtics are 15 - 7 against the west. A more modest 68%.
But here's the kicker, they have a bigger point spread all in all against teams in the West. Some massive blowout wins against hte West this year:
+25 Kings (7 seed)
+37 Clippers (4 seed now, but no Kawhi that game)
+35 Spurs (last place team)
+32 Houston (lottery team)
+40 Memphis (lottery team)
+52 Warriors (bottom play in team seed 10)
So I was apparently quite wrong about the point differential part being part of crushing teams in the east; they have done their fair share of crushing of West teams. To the extent they crush the bottom teams in the west just as bad if not worse. But here's the kicker, they are just 2-5 against the top 4 seeds in the West.
So it appears the unbalanced schedule is a notable benefit to their overall record, to the point that I would say there's no evidence that Boston is the "best" team this year in the regular season, but not on point differential.
id be interested to see where they get that last in the league in drives stat? The lakers are second in the league in points in the paint, last in the league in % of points that come from three pointers, last in the league in 3 pointers attempted per game, first in the league in % of field goal attempts from 2 point range. Basically they rely on playing in the paint and less on three pointers than any team in the league. Also while they lead the league in ft disparity, they are only 6th in ft attempts per game. The lakers just dont foul much because they play lack luster defense and then live in the paint on the offensive end.
It took around 20 games before someone on the Warriors other than Curry scored 20 points in a game. The Warriors have lost every game without Curry in the line-up. He's the only reason they still have a shot at the playoffs and aren't competing with the Pistons and Spurs.
