Every Nuggets vs. Lakers game these days feel the exact same. Different actors, but the plot unfolds the same. This time MPJ seemed to have the shooting game of his life. AD had another Sombor Shuffle moment, poor guy.

Congrats to Lebron for 40,000, amazing accomplishment. Was kinda cool to see Novaxx and Vlade Divac in attendance I guess that's like regional legends.

LeCalRipkenJR stat padding into his 40s will be quite a sight.

Getting throughly outplayed by Michael Porter Jr. isn't getting him into the top 10 all-time.

Denver isn't a superteam people think they are. Murray went absolutely nuclear against the Lakers. I don't think that happens again. The West is tougher this year than last year. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I feel more worried about the bench this year than last, they're missing a strong sixth man. I don't know that there's all that many people thinking they're a superteam when there's another team in the league with much shorter odds of winning the championship.

I do think the West is very deep this year especially versus East (that has only two strong teams now that Embiid is out - and contributes to the short odds on Boston reference above) and friendly-rigged does not want a Denver Dynasty, so it will be interesting.

At the same time, this season is unfolding for them predictably outside of Murray missing some games due to injury early costing them some games. They seem to have an extra gear that they are rarely bringing out, and I expect this post season to be like last where AG plays the back up 5 and Jordan sits his ass on the bench. Also, tactics wise Jokic is a very versatile player who can find the mismatches and counter other teams' adjustments. That's a part of going nuclear IMO, the Murray-Jokic two man game rachets up in the post season, it's natural for their numbers to be at or above season averages even though they are playing exclusively the top teams. Even if Murray drops 10%, or has a few off games, does that mean Denver gets knocked off, or they just actually face elimination games? Other thing that's a bit forgotten, MPJ has typically played below his regular season averages and played pretty damn horrible in the finals and they still crushed the Heat... there's definitely room for him to improve his contribution.

Nothing crazy but i like Denvers odds. If Denver gets the 1 spot early i could see them resting a lot and phoning it in like last year. I would prefer it that way so the team is healthy going in the playoffs. If Denver cant secure 1 early i have no doubt Jokic is gonna take the MVP but only if Denver needs him to.

Sounds right, but you never know. ESPN might go deep into the well to try to bring up some highly customized stats that Jokic is the worst defender in the history of the league again.

In all seriousness, given that there are multiple teams in the hunt for the one spot, and other damn good teams lingering just below ATM, it's unlikely that Denver creates nearly the same space they had over (I think it was the Grizzlies???? last year). They had like a 9 game lead at one point I think. Personally I think best case scenario for them would be half that, which bodes well for folks looking for Yoke to put up numbers.

You dont understand DENVER IS NOT A SUPERTEAM. No one claimed they were but vogbozzle is having discussions in his head again where his feelings take over.

Nah, people legit overvaluing MPJ and Aaron Gordon after last years run lol

People saying Murray is a legit superstar etc. They're a well designed/built team. Murray is a great #2 option. People were saying his series vs the Lakers was the norm. It definitely fucking wasn't lmao

Golden State just extended their dynasty with the Wiggins trade

Weird how people conveniently forget ridiculous shit said after a team wins the finals

I can only say the same shit so many times about this Mavs team smh. Looking worse pre trade deadline these last 5 games
