LeGoat is a beast but they can’t be playing him this much so early in the season. Rest of the team needs to step it up.
Same with Luka. Saw it last season, wasn’t nearly as effective end of the season, even with Kyrie. Lebron is a freak of nature though and handled a heavy load last season too.

West are killing each other while the Celtics are casually winning by 51.
That’s the story almost every season for as long as I can remember. Only ever 2-3 contenders in the East while the west is always loaded. I thought when Lebron came out west it would create more parity in the East, but nope. Still top heavy.

Yeah this year feels like it might be even more ridiculous. We'll see as the season goes on.

and yet how many times have the Heat snuck in despite being considered no where near the top in the past 5 years?

I'd say the West is equally as top heavy:

-GSW
-Denver

Lakers? Old and not a threat. Clippers? Health issues. Suns? Health and depth issues. Mavs? Depends on a rookie ability to defend and Kyrie not blowing things up.

Still can’t believe ESPN had grizzlies finishing first in the west. Without Ja, that team on paper is not talented. If they are to finish in first place, they better stop digging this hole they are in before ja gets back. And they better pray he is not rusty.

Snuck into what? The Finals? Anything can happen in the playoffs. I'm commenting on what's happening in the regular season.

Lol. Not even going to bother with this.

What?? West is stacked this year man..

Obviously Nuggz and wazz.

Suns have Booker, KD and Beal - nuff said.

Lakers - strong play off team.

Clips - Injury prone, but still solid AF, packed with talent.

Kings - they've had a hard opening schedule, but they are looking really good, they're quality plus very scrappy / determined team.

Mavs are 4-0, and Luka is averaging a 30 point triple double so far..

Edit - how bout those Pelicans as a wild card??

Top 7-8 in the West are all solid, quality teams, with star players..

Also Twolves, Thunder, Grizz with Ja, Pelicans would all be top 3-5 in the East but probably will round out the bottom half of the west

Totally, how could I forget them.. T-Wolves could even make a decent jump this year, same with the Thunder..

This season's gonna be fire..

I've heard this for years but its not too often the lesser contenders go deep. Usually the top 2 or 3 contenders have beat up the other teams, same as the East.

Off the top of your head how many non favorites teams have gone deep? The Grizz to that one WCF? Portland into the 2nd round?

In the past 10 years only 5 different teams in the West have made the Finals. The West overall has always been better but there have only been 2 or 3 REAL contenders in the conference a year. Its stacked, but Nuggets are big favorites.
