I feel so bad for people that aren’t NBA fans and witnessing Luka. Good grief.
 
Wemby had a nice 4th quarter and overtime, Flashes of stuff you just can't really defend and also the length and timing the deter people from the rim, he really doesn't need the 3 point line that just wastes his main advantage against mostly guys for closer in.

Yeah, I think you are bang on. His three should be thrown up just enough to keep the defense honest but not a focal point. I think he's a real presence out there, and has potential to get a lot better obviously.

The early question mark or hurdle with Wemby is that both he and his agent have said they will actively fight against him putting on weight and playing ball in the paint like a real Center. Wemby has no intention of dominating the paint, which he could easily do if he would grow into his body. They INSIST he's going to dribble around like KD and shoot jump shots. I suspect 5 years from now we will still be having this same discussion.
 


I love watching Holliday, man. He's so smooth and intelligent. Credit to Zingis too for recognizing it too, just later. Last season this would've probably been a clogged toilet possession that resulted in a crappy 3 with 2 seconds left on the shot clock. Instead, smooth offense turns into an opportunity on defense. It's what got them to the finals two seasons ago.

It's interesting because the fat horse jockey has kind of shown that playing at the rim as a center may not be as valuable as people think. Now, Wemby appears to be nowhere near the passing savant and decision maker Jokic is (yet -- if ever who knows), but he also has a benefit of by height, wingspan, and athleticism to be a better shot blocker and defensive presence towards the rim than Yoke.

Anyhow, it's a long season, I'm happy to patiently wait to see how things turn out. Should be interesting indeed.

I think Celtics have a team built that will translate to playoff success provided they stay healthy. I personally give them the edge over the Bucks in the East looking at rosters (no disrespect to Giannis and Dame). Philadelphia needs to figure it's shit out, as of now I'd say they've dropped out of being the contender they were last year.

In the West, I think Denver will have a bit of a regular season hangover and sleepwalk to a good playoff spot, then be the team to beat in the West come playoff time. I am not convinced Suns are built to be a better playoff team than regular season team - they require great perimeter shooting which is the least dependable offense over the course of a series and don't have a defense to steal games IMO, but they are interesting if Durant and Beal settle in and get a chemistry going along with Book obviously, but I worry about their defense. Same with the Mavs, potential is there, but think their offense will have a lot more volatility than a Denver team that doesn't necessarily require getting hot as much as consistently being above average. Their run last year was fantastic on the surface going 16-4, but should remember of the 4 losses, one was OT (wolves), one against the Heat they had chance to tie at the buzzer in a poorly officiated game (Murray missed 3), and the two losses were in a series they actually had the largest average margin of victory in and required almost inhuman shooting from Booker and Durant in the Suns two wins of 7 and 5 points respectively; whereas Denver won their games in that series by 18, 10, 16 and 25.
 
That pass was funny on so many levels. Jokic caught them all by surprise. KCP was out of bound. Jackson was expecting the ball, camera man was afk.
 
Going to be fun watching this team learn to win and one out games. They seem to be putting them chemistry together early on so far. Here is the end of them taking on Cavs in the final two mins.
