#3 in defense is what is shocking to me, I know they held OKC to a pretty low score in their recent match up. Luka has shown he can put a team on his back in the playoffs, and if the defense is there to back him up they could go deep.
It’s always been the key to their success. Offensive juggernaut but couldn’t stop a nosebleed most of the season. Hell of a time to pick it up and start playing good defense.

In the Mavs last 12 games these are the numbers for their opponents. Rockets 107, Kings 103, Kings 96, Jazz 105, Jazz 97, Spurs 107, Nuggets 105, Thunder 126 (only loss in the 12 game stretch and Luka didn't play), Warriors 99, Bulls 92, Pistons 124, Heat 108.

Those numbers are a radical change.

Clippers gonna Clippers once again and play the hottest team in the 1st round. I never believed Clippers are cursed but with the Doc Saga and 213 Blunders, I believe it now.

Even when I went to a game against the Bulls. I bought the tickets at box office and they said they don’t print tickets and told me to use their app. The app glitched and didn’t have my tickets. So a lot of us missed the first half. Only because the didn’t wanna hand out actual tickets. One guy said this is why no one supports the Clippers. We love the torture.

Look at it this way, the Flerps have been Luka's archnemesis, eliminating him from the playoffs twice already in his short career. A third defeat at their hands will start looking like the Flerps are to the Mavs what the Pistons were to the Jordan Bulls.

Stephen gAe is rocking the ESPN algorithm again.

His current MVP ladder:
1) SGA
2) Jokic
3/4 tie) Brunson and Anthony Edwards
5) Luka

Luka at #5 is so bad I can only assume that these sports media personalities are paid for specific opinions. Puppets, sports propagandists, whatever you want to call it.

Completely disrespectful to Giannis as well. I mean, I struggle to really admire Giannis' game because it's so blunt and involves so much repeated unimaginative drives to the net and tons of free throws where he's painful to watch. But he's crazy effective and having an incredible year as well. To go to Brunson or Edwards over him is a joke.

If Giannis was American they'd be riding hard.

Considering he's been the best player in the league for the past few years, or at least top 2-3, the media never, ever talk about him, unless forced to.

Maybe because the NBA is focusing on shitting on everything and everyone all the time instead of promoting players. Every "analyst" is now a hot take tv show. The hosts for NBA games and finals are a bunch of hating ass old dudes who don't even understand the current game. That's not to mention the NBA is more preoccupied with growing the game overseas than domestically.

I just seen the folks at The Ringer have him number two in the league now. I think it's fair, there's been a fatigue element to him too, but perhaps not unfair as generally he gets regarded as three behind Jokic and Embiid who are as good or better than anyone. But perhaps he needs to be more thought of as a peer and not a lower tier.

When you are the highest usage player in the league playing entire games and have been injury prone while missing half of a playoff series last season plus different injuries this season, I’d say yes to being smart and not pushing him to the limit. He’s in much better shape this season so the fatass diss doesn’t work anymore.

You’re acting like I meant he should take games off or halves off. It’s not that hard to understand.

LMAO @ "usage" in 2024. Sorry, but walking down court and chucking up 10+ 3's a game isn't being pushed "to the limit" LOL. If you've actually played the game (spoiler: you haven't on any real level), you'd know that this is called LA FITNESS OFFENSE/being a fatass ROFL.
