Seen a lot of people arguing about these top 10 lists today. I don't know precisely what to think about it but I have noticed Luka playing a lot harder this season on the defensive end. The top of the one with Rudy's pic is best ISO

I mean the first list has Luka ahead of AD as a post defender so that’s irrelevant. Context is Luka defends PGs/SGs or the other team’s worst offensive player majority of the time to conserve his energy on offense. The only logical way he is top on the ISO list is because of my previous statement.

Yea, I get all that, I know the eye test says he is trying a lot harder on the defensive end and he isn't always guarding guards, and he does well in the post. He's 7th in steals in the league as well. All I'm saying is, with Luka all this is easy to shrug off but when there is enough data accumulated, at a certain point you have to recognize he is better this season.

I do notice the effort is there but it’s not consistent and I don’t blame him at all for that. Having to shoulder the offensive load and have others assist more on the defensive end is how it should be. It’s why I begged for them to get elite perimeter defenders to help out.

But again the context matters. The fact he is 6’7/6’8 getting posted up by PGs inflates those numbers and do we really know if he is better since he guards the opposing team’s worst player as I’ve stated. Greater effort doesn’t mean greater ability depending on the context. I’ll save my opinion until I see more in pressure games.

Fair enough. I honestly think he's improved this season but lets see how it plays out. Hopefully they extend their win streak to 5 tonight, there is no excuse to lose to this team.
