Definitely one of the most impressive runs. He also didn’t have another current all star on that team (Butler might have been but was hurt).

Lmao JJ and Kidd locked up Bron in that finals. And yeah Jet got the tatt prior to the season, guess he just knew

Weve already had this argument but at the time that roster was percevied differently. It was a team stacked with borderline all stars and former all stars. Kidd,Terry, Marion,Butler,Nowitzki,Chandler was a really good roster.

Butler was considered part of Wizards big three and Marion had been considered part of the Suns big 3 just a few years earlier. Chandler had won on the Hornets with Paul. Kidd being acquired was a bid deal when it happend in 08 and the enthusiasm had slowly fizzled out the next 3 years.

People forget all those mid 2000s big 3s and like to pretend the Celtics changed things. But thats kinda revionist history.

Not sure what you’re trying to say…Butler played 3/4 of the season or whatever amount he played and the others were past their prime minus maybe Chandler. None were borderline all stars that year other than maybe Butler as I said.

It was every player knowing their specific role and the chemistry of that team that led them to win, more than athleticism or talent. Team was far from stacked (what people consider stacked at least)
