2024 College Football Discussion *** Welcome to the Playoffs ***

I hope the UConn boys show out today. Too bad they are playing on that Masshole field.

Edit: Watching the Squids bust out the Jolly Roger Uni’s two games in a row. Sailors and their superstitions.

I can already tell this ESPN manufactured Bill Belichick-UNC "hype" is gonna be unsufferable over the summer leading into next season, gonna be even more terribler than this dumb ass "OMG!! TOM BRADY IS ANNOUNCING A FOOTBALL GAME NOW!! SQUEAL WITH GLEE!!" that we had last year

Is it weird that Boston College is playing at Yankee Stadium, while UConn is occupying Fenway Park?

Bowl Committees make no sense in this day and age of chaos football.

I also wish that a BC vs. UConn football rivalry developed from the Big East days. The fake UCF rivalry Diaco tried to manifest was embarrassing, and UMass feels lame.

Or even UConn vs. Syracuse. Bring Villanova up to FBS. Give me back some Big East flavor.

More importantly, why did they choose this Gomer Pyle ref to be the head official of the Pinstripes Bowl?

Meh, a loss would have been better for the team to be honest. Just hope this doesn't convince anyone that Maiava is a feasible option next year.
Did the win give TBOW another year? It's amazing how badly he impacted Oklahoma by leaving. Unless Ben Arbuckle makes some huge improvements it's going to be rough for us Okies. It sucked watching through the Schnellenberger and Blake years. Venables doesn't seem like he's ready to lead a program to me.

You guys got the current #1 Transfer Portal player coming in to QB Oklahoma next year from Washington State.

I love all the carny goodness going on at the Pop Tarts Bowl, the announcers are dressed like giant Pop Tarts and they even got the goal posts wrapped like the sweet breakfast treats

People love Pop Tarts, no doubt about it

Pop Tarts Bowl is a 21-14 shootout and the 1st quarter aint even over yet, these kids must be all hopped up on sugar!

Ummmm....I just got a notification that a post was deleted because it was offensive and do NOT do that again.

Can somebody fill me in please? What the fuck did I say? I can't even read the post....

Now its the '95 Orange Bowl, Dennis Erickson vs Tom Osborne

Warren Sapp & Ray Lewis on Miami's defense
#1 vs #3. Penn St was #2 but locked into playing the Pac 10 champ in the Rose. Nebraska had to play in the Orange as Big 8 champ. I think it was on NYE that year for some reason.

Gasparilla Bowl is the same way, they embrace the silliness knowing that there's no reason to take bowl games serious now. Treasure map end zones, gold coins on the sidelines, and giant treasure chest as the trophy. Dennis Coralluzo would be proud.
The game MVP got a 24k gold eye patch.

"Nebraska better not fall too far behind." - Jim Nantz, end of the first quarter
I remember that game, what a shit kicking that was. Well at least you guys won a couple natty since then. I'm a ND fan so....can't wait to raise the trophy on 20 january!!

I miss the old school bowl games system but yea it was frustrating sometimes when you had situations like that
