There's really no question about it at this point. Bernie is just going to have to deal with it, and take them head on like Trump did. He's gotta start standing up for himself, or he's gonna get dusted again.

He's gotta get there first.

Bernie, while his professionalism is somewhat admirable, needs to take the gloves off and send stronger messages to his enemies. This ain't play time. They certainly aren't playing nice with him, that's for sure. It's a fight, and Bernie doesn't have the time to play the long game. He really should take a page out of Trump's book in this instance.

I do have my socialist tendencies(healthcare for all. And laying off medical debts. Better mental health, and government use of tariffs to smash false “free trade” which is killing us. The rich can pay more. I have communist tendencies and I want all of America’s natural resources seized by the state to benefit Americans, but I’m not a social crazy leftist.

This so called "exodus" from Europe has no bearing on the argument of the quality of life, the power of our middle class or our overall society. Not to mention it's misrepresented. Rich people are rich here too. Listen to some facts, just comparing my own country here, but it's largely the trend with all simular countries. Just to put the propaganda in perspective:

4. We have less prisoners (#6, US ranks last with over twice the amount of number 2, and 10 times as many per capita as us)

6. We have less government and corporate corruption (#1, US doesn't rank top 20 https://www.transparency.org/cpi2018)

Isn't it crazy how we can both have stronger social safety nets, provide healthcare and education for all, less crime and still have equal or better business opportunity and more freedom? Pretty much all northern European countries rank above the US in most or all of these metrics. But wait, you have a bigger military and more rich people! Yay!

Your country have 5 million people. I could take Colorado, wich have the same population. In Colorado I will bet my balls, the majority of the people have a better standard of living then in there. With way lower cost of living, and more purchasing power because we dont have socialism the tax everything.

Just moved from Colorado. Nearly every person I knew was average working class without much spending power due to runaway housing costs combined with modest gains in wages, but I'm not a coastal elite and dont run in those circles.

A not insignificant percent my coworkers at my last job were receiving some form of government assistance. Everyone was overworked and underpaid. Paying through the nose for mediocre insurance through our employer or not opting in at all and going w/o health insurance like I was.

The goal in life when your eyes are clear is to very simply not be in a state of stress. It is not purchasing trinkets. There is zero doubt it my mind the people of Denmark and pretty much all European countries are less stressed than our population. It's honestly astounding that someone is arguing Colorado's standard of living is higher than Denmark's. And Colorado often ranks #1 for happiest U.S. states. It's one of our best examples and still lagging behind European nations in that regard.

Spot on. Being on the left means fighting for the people; the urban and rural working class plus their families. There is no party in America today which isn’t oriented toward kissing the asses of oligarchic billionaires. The progressive movement is the first step in the right direction we’ve seen in decades, and mainstream media plus the professional political classes are terrified.
