So you know all 100 senators?

hey Headkicktoleg,

not to speak for Trotsky, but what he may be saying is that just because you've never heard of Senator Klobuchar doesn't mean she has zero electoral strength (afterall, 1 in 4 Americans have no idea who controls the Senate, let alone who its members are).

So you know all 100 senators?

I recognize their names, yes.

And even if not, I would think an intelligent person would spend even just 5 minutes on Google to see who she was. Then seeing a MN senator who crushed her re-elections in a more purple state, start seeing what policies she is for/against to determine how she might shake out in the increasingly crowded Dem primary?

In the non shit thread about Klobuchar, I fully agree with the assement she's a candidate that would do very well in a general, but not in the primary as that often turns into a popularity contest and how much base rousing/advocate pandering one can do.

So you know all 100 senators?

I believe he meant that you called a US Senator a basic bitch even though she’s known as a hard working powerful politician.

Basically you’re an idiot who started a thread that highlights your ignorance and shouldn’t really comment on politics...

Then again this place would be boring if it weren’t for your kind shit posting from time to time...

lol you guys are crying way too hard about the thread title. She's a no-name senator. relax have fun.

Why wouldn't you prefer a politician that just does her job, passes (mostly) good legislation that helps her constituents, and doesn't spend time and money making a ruccus in the news to increase her personal fame and political following from rubes who eat up controversy?

Because News is Entertainment and shapes the election cycle into one big drama fest and our animal brains eat it up

hey again Headkickleg,

translation; she doesn't tweet stuff that i can get triggered about, so she's a nobody

- IGIT

no she's not done a lot of public stuff. Nothing to do with tweets.

I like Klobuchar, but I don't think she'd do exceedingly well in a general election. I think she'd suffer from the exact same problems that Clinton did, as an introverted, driven, and pragmatic woman. The right-wing smear machine is always primed to go and, for whatever reasons, it gets traction much more easily on female targets. Just look at how quickly Elizabeth Warren's approval/disapproval ratings were absolutely tanked by this trivial Native American appropriation scandal. Even as someone who has been long critical of Clinton, it was really extraordinary how quickly her favorability plummeted after the GOP started going after her mercilessly - and pretty transparently disingenuously - during Obama's second term. Before the primary even started, she had gone from one of the more favorably seen American politicians to one of the most unpopular.

like introducing bills and other congressional shit.

hi again Headkicktoleg,

i didn't make fun of your thread title, and i've been courteous in responding to you, but i must ask -

are you joking?

This is what happened the last time someone from Minnesota led the Democrat party at a national level.

Without Hillary around to pull the rug out from under him, I think Bernie wins the nomination this time around.

That said, however, he represents Socialism which is NOT viewed by many(who are not Democrats) as a Positive(to say the least) for this country's future.

It would turn a Democrat vs. Trump battle into a Socialism vs. Capitalism war.

A war that Trump may ultimately win.

I'm super cereal

hi Headkicktoleg,

well...hmmmf.

if you're being serious, then for what its worth, i think you'd hate Mrs. Klobuchar a lot less than you'd hate someone like Senator Sanders or Warren.

however you'd define a moderate democrat in 2019 - she's it. she's definitely not part of the progressive wing of the party.

i could cite some of the legislation that she's proposed, but if you're really curious you can just look it up.

you got it all wrong. I don't hate any of them. I just thought it was funny there was another person running for president from the dem side. There a lot of them. Just like there were a shit load in 2016.

Clearly, nobody from Minnesota should ever try to run for the Democratic nomination, because Walter Mondale lost badly in 1984. Good point.
