I hope you know how much I dig you man but Bernie did not go soft. No one thinks that. It is a talking point with no truth to it.

Bernie did the right thing in trying to avoid the social and moral catastrophe of a Trump presidency. It was the right thing to so even if it did not work out.

Cory Booker's "I am Spartacus" comment showed such a level of self-centered self-importance and delusion, that it actually mirrored comedy in it's over exaggeration.

Anyone should be skeptical of handing the levers of power over to someone with such a warped self-image.

I don't think he's ever come off as that charismatic and sometimes even tone deaf. I would be surprised if he got it.

Bernie, Trump, Hillary, and Biden were all in high school at the same time.

So go ahead and GTFO with that stupid shit

But Hillary and Trump have put a lot of effort into staying in excellent health so there's that.

Hillary is living off the life blood of Haitian children while Trump has his arteries replaced bi-yearly.

Dont be a dumb ass. Trump was 70 when he entered office. Bernie would be 80 if he wins the next election.

So the fact that the people won't choose Booker because he is both uncharismatic and tone deaf you see as valid.

Why is his delusional "I am Sparticus" moment not a valid reason to reject Cory Booker?

By your own words:
If that's the criteria of how we slim out the field, that says more about the public than that candidate

I think this statement by you is absolutely wrong. You're faulting the public for being able to identify a troubling personality trait for anyone that would seek power.

I'm going off more than one situation from him that wasn't considered a gaffe. I also wasn't saying "I" meaning whether I would pick him out of the field because I won't be able to vote in the democratic primary. That comment was my interpretation of how I think the public will perceive him once he's on the debate stage and giving speeches. I wouldn't say it's necessarily good for the public to dismiss someone this way cause it's fairly artificial.

I was having a bit of fun with cartoonish depiction of the Berni domination of the Clintons rather than a take on his choice of dealing with the bizarre situation he (and the whole country) found himself in.
Obviously there are a lot Bernie supporters that felt betrayed and others that claim otherwise, such is politics.

Anyway it's interesting to check in every once in awhile and see what's going on. Beyond that it's not the most productive place to hang out. It's all to easy for the cynical, and their odorous nihilism, to permeate every discussion. It's why wisdom literature says to simply avoid such gloomy mockers wallowing in there own dark depressed state that are not only pathologically driven to pass it on but to stomp out anything otherwise inclined.
Cheers.:)

Don’t care to start a thread but just saw this article about just how much outside money poured in to flip those seats in the midterms. 51% of dem money came from out of the state where the race was held, 33% for republicans.

Got a kick out of the retired teacher who decided to give all of her money to out of state democrats instead of leaving it for her kids.

Since at least 2010, the new norm is nationalized local campaign. Money is strategically used towards races whether the local candidate knows it or not.

Yeah, not sure how I feel about that. In state is one thing but having some rich dude across the country having that much sway in who gets elected to represent me in a local election doesn’t sit well.

Where the fuck is Gen. Wesley Clark? At least prop up a candidate with some bawls

The only good things Michael Moore has even been associated with is the movie Canadian Bacon and wrecking Wesley Clark's political prospects.

It doesn't matter who the Dem candidate is: Warren (Fauxcahontas), Harris (The Prostitute), Booker (The Sanctimonious Hypocrite Groper) or infirm Hillary, they will win if the wall isn't built and Schumer knows this.

Agreed. I'm not sure there's easy ways to stop it though. I've read instances of candidates finding out about smear ads against their opponent that they legitimately didn't know about and finding out it's from national groups that didn't even reach out. They found it pretty bizarre how the group not only cared about that small race but how it new a local issue in which to smear the opposing candidate for.
