This is insane, who in UFC other than Conor can make this much, the 120 ranked in salary is making 10 millions a year
they don't have to suffer cte to get it either, don't have to pay for their coaches, have personal coaches from the team, their boss have personal planes for their teams

they can eat train and sleep in their franchise facilities for free, their own medical facilities and doctors, trainers, coaches, it's insane how the treatment is so different, while both being popular sports in the world

Wow Russell Westbrook is the most overrated player ever, he is straight up robbing whoever is paying him that blind. And this is what happens when the boss doesn’t save the money for himself to fuel a gambling addiction+transporting snow to the Las Vegas desert.

Let's be real.

A lot, A LOT, more people watch the NBA than the UFC.

And FYI, the NBA has more viewers in China then in the USA. Think about that for a second. While the NBA is advocating for all types of social injustices in the states they stay mouse quiet about the human rights violations in China. They don't want to lose that Hong Kong/Beijing money.

Not to mention there's more UFC fighters than NBA players. And of course the NBA has a players union. They collectively bargaining instead of the "if I'm ok screw the next guy" mindset mma fighters seem to have.

And it actually serves China’s interests to push divisive social agendas in America. NBA is literally China’s personal psyop

.

I lived in China half my life, while it's absolutely true basketball is the most popular sport in China
Nba does not make that much from it. For starter chinese government has completely stopped broadcasting nba games after the hong kong incident, the average basketball fan can only access illegal streaming online and nba does not get a cent from that

second, the average chinese income is low, they can't afford the nba merchants, shoes, t-shirts, jerseys. most buy the knock offs.

not to mention nba teams cannot make money from selling ticket to oversea chinese fans

Lebron supported China because he has his 1 billion dollars nike contract to protect, he was protecting his own brand, and since he is a global phenomenom, his shoes and clothing line sells a lot worldwide. Lebron's sneakers outsell more than entire teams in China.

China is not very lucritive of a sports markets if you really dissect it. it's less than 10 percent of nba's total revenue

But sherdog told me since the NBA went woke they would go broke...
Not necessarily, most of that money is through sponsorships and long-standing TV deals, not really indicators of current viewership moods; and the fact it’s on free tv probably inflates the numbers indicating interest in the sport.

They play 82 games a year plus the playoffs compared to performing 3 times a year.

their teams are probably losing huge amount of revenue from not able to sell live tickets
But from I heard since the franchises are privately owned, their bosses are all wealthy individuals who have ventures outside of nba, most do not own nba teams to make money

They trained basketball their whole lives and most went to college also playing basketball and were the few that made it to nba.these mma fighters start at around 20s some later.

mma fighters have a way more difficult road

a lot start out as elite wrestlers, and then they have to compete in lower organizations, and hope ufc pick them.
once they are in the ufc, if they lose 2-3 fights right away they get cut
they be lucky to make six figures in their first year
then they have 3-4 trainers to prepare them for fight, which they need to pay
they have to pay the gyms they train at too
if they get injured they pay for their own medicals
it's a thankless sport

It's reported that the Chinese government and the NBA have a $500 million a year deal in place. And that was just from publicly known deals.

This reported that it's actually closer to $4 billion in total annually.

it's not the CCP government lol, it's private companies that have deals with NBA, companies like Tencent
