Elections 2018 Midterms: Polls, predictions and results.

Oh shit! Really?

Damn...I thought you were referring to Acosta.

My bad.

I keep forgetting that I can't see the morons I've placed on Ignore (like, for example, that Shoemaker dickhead just now....SURPRISE!) <Lmaoo>

You’re missing out bro

It annoys me how many Black Candidates believe their election-hopes would depend on their skin color instead of their own merits.
I wonder if you are blind to the irony in your post being a Trump supporter. lol.

from people who lost and have no influence now? it seems his base is loving it. To win in 2020 he would need the same showing and then to just add some more people. Not impossible. Id imagine a push in suburbs and trying to get more latino voters will make the difference or not. The media is obviously trys to paint are people of hispanic or latin background as some united bunch but it is not true.
Trump is insulting Republican Candidates who worked hard for the cause and simply failed. Heck one of them is still in recount mode and could win, so what happens there being that Trump already stomped on their grave and laughed at them losing?

No one cares about those titles, they aren’t special, as long as they are the best for the job that is what counts.
If that is what counts, how did Trump get the nomination?

Lol at bragging about putting people on ignore. How rustled do you get?

Well it looks like House Dems will scrape by with about an 18 or 20-seat majority (about 9 or 10 races out of 435) for a final total of 210(R)–228(D) or 209(R)-229(D). Definitely not a "Blue Wave," but certainly better than the ass poundage Dems are used to suffering. This should end their persistent whining about Gerrymandering.

In the Senate, it's a different story. Democrats got their asses pounded, hard. They lost 4 seats in red states, and gained 1 in a state which turned blue due to immigration. All of the Democrats' "star" candidates lost embarrassingly, including Beta O'Rourke and Kristen Cinema. The only red state Dem to survive (other than Manchin, who voted for Kavanaugh) was fatboy Jon Tester. Gotta hand it to ol' slippery Jon—he knows Montana.

With only a slim majority in the House and a decisive minority in the Senate, Democrats can do nothing but cry for two years, which is what they've been doing already. By contrast, Republicans can get their judges confirmed with less Democrat bitching, and perhaps Trump can even convince 9 of those House Democrats to cross the aisle and pass a few bills. Good times ahead.

I mean he held onto more house seats and gained more senate seats than any of them in identical periods in their presidencies.

I know math is not something you are mentally capable of tackling but try to hide your inabilities instead of magnifying them, maybe people won’t notice that you’re slow.
Too bad you aren't from the US you would make a perfect Trumptard.

About the worst summary written so far in this entire thread. Congrats!

what the hell is going on in georgia .. 100% precincts reported yet somehow they still have votes they're counting .. now down to 64k and kemp at 50.3 .. almost like they're trying to get him under 50 'somehow' .. to force the runoff .. dude had a 220k lead with like 93% reporting
Yea, it's fucked.

That’s not the right way to frame it. Why compare the numbers that way?

The fact remains that the elections resulted in a major power shift in favor of Democrats and now the Republican agenda has come to a grinding stop.

Naah. Republicans still have a great deal of control. It will be interesting to see what the House does now though.

Wrong narrative.

Dems will have flipped 30 House seats by the time we are done. Exit polls have them winning the national House popular vote by 9-10 points... one of the largest margins ever (much greater than the margins in either of the GOP "wave" years against Obama... even greater than the margin again GW Bush when his approval was in the 30's).

GOP had the most favorable Senate map in a century and will end up gaining three seats from it.

Here's the real narrative: Democratic Senators won easily in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Trump failed to hold onto the Rust Belt and his immigration fear mongering doesn't win the day there.

Here's the realest narrative: Donald Trump is now officially only a Confederate president.

Nah? They went from little influence to controlling the House. They can effectively kill the republican agenda. That's huge.

I'm sorry bruh, but I was expecting to be overwhelmed by this "Blue Wave," and it barely got my shoes wet.

They were hoping for much more though. You can't boot the President, for a non-crime, from his position without control of the Senate. They can certainly obstruct for 2 years. I guess we will see where that gets them in 2020.

Yeah, that's all right. My point was killing the GOP agenda is a lot of power.

These fucking guys have no low.

Utterly misleading. The tweet, as worded, is perpetuating that the legislature will somehow prevent the governor elect from having any power at all, when in fact what is really being suggested is that the legislature legally reduce the governer's powers through their own legislative power. In a sense, isn't that similar to what Democrats will be doing at the national level and why Democrats are happy they took back the House?
