Finally, and only 13 pages too late, GNN's ground breaking candidate assessment follows....

The Unreliables

The Unreliables share the deplorables love for a good troll. Surprisingly, this year we have quite a few candidates vying to bring an unreliable in the run off.

@senri, @pcptornado , @Clippy , and @CauseImbetta round out the unreliables.

senri and Clippy are barely more than gimmicks, with the first candidate feeling more like a phase a poster would use for two or three threads (max) to get a laugh. It seems fitting that our current president has latched onto him so.

CuaseImbetta is the most political of the bunch which sort of leaves him an odd part of the group while PCP seems to have the most wind at his back.

WTF Republicans

The right wing establishment is a dying breed and only @alanb has taken up the mantle for their cause. Reasonable and right wing, his type is a rare sight. Unfortunately on the campaigne, he too has been a rare sight, so we don't expect to see him in the next round.

Berniebrobots

@VivaRevolution is the only brobot campaigning. If you can call it that. Like his understanding of basic economics, his run has been well intentioned and good for many lulz.

The Deplorabots

Surprisingly, there in no recognizable drumpfian poster taking up the mantle here. This could be a crystal ball for a real world without Trump. Lacking a poster with reality TV troll panache like @Palis , the Deplorabots have entered full low energy mode with @Space Dog and @colby25 as their representatives. Lets see if Palis' rumored upcoming speech does anything to change the tide [update: it did not]. @irish_thug Irish might fit this group as well were he not so reasonable. Look for him to be a spoiler in this race.

Sanity

Moderate left/liberals, BLM dictatorship, and Sharia law go seamlessly together to round out this final category of candidates. Problem is there are too many of them.

@HomerThompson : On the trollish side of the party, he has made excellent use of the hotdog gif. He has a balanced sense of policy but defaults to unpresidential trollish dismissals when presented with nonesence from other sides.

@Kafir-kun : while as liberals, GNN of course welcomes sharia, Kafir has just not been active enough in his quest for jihad.

@Rational Poster : further to the trollish side than even captain hotdog, he may be left out in a crowded field. We, however, still wish him well.

@Falsedawn :Unfortunately many Liberal males will only elect a black person that is female, mixed, and/or smaller than the the average white man. Otherwise they will want to take you home to bed their wives. We greatly admire the Dawn but are unsure of what his success will be here.

@JDragon : Beyond his calling out of the liberal snakedafunky, his campaign has been a copy paste from his previous one, but even lower in energy. Who can forget last time, JD appointed a CT freak as VP, one so lacking in backbone that he quite moments later when the CT vote cried foul. JD then disappeared for days on a coke and puppy bender. While we share JD's values and respect him greatly as a poster, this does not seem like a candidacy with any real potential. EDIT: Palis has endorsed JD!!!!. Like Palis' presidency, this will have no noticeable impact.

@Quipling : He is this seasons bearer of the JD mantle minus the puppy and CT scandles. Straight done the center, a true sanity candidate. He has also delivered a few decent body blows to Homer over what has become known as "Likegate" .

@snakedafunky : trolling as a nazis, his candidacy has been good for a few laughs.

GNNs first round endorsement selection has not been easy. After a year of deploranothing, we need a sanity candidate back. Quipling would be our first choice in a perfect world. However the world is not perfect, and sanity may need someone a little less sane to win the presidential prize. In our view, Homer would be a second, less perfect but still very satisfactory choice.

GNN will be tracking the results and voter categories, and a final endorsement will be made shortly. Sanity voters may wish to hold back to see where their vote will have the most impact. We will keep you advised.

We in the @pcptornado camp enjoy and respect the GNN media. We appreciate their honesty and hard work delivering the news to the people.

We make one suggestion, maybe start tagging folks in the posts. Everyone wants to know when they are being talked about.
