When I'm right, sure. That's a weird point of comparison. He sticks to his guns when he's totally full of shit and everyone knows it.

I never put an attribute to rightness or factual correctness. TCK is wrong just about every time, as far as I'm concerned. But objective facts are few and between, and most of it is subjective opinions based on what *could* be based on faith or lack therefor (either for the market, religion, social or fiscal policies, etc.) We say we want this passed because it will do this, then 5 years later it does that. Oh, but that one time, it worked. That's the nature of the wild and variables.

Ed: I went ahead and checked. Three of the last 20 (15%) were to conservative posters. That's skewed because of this thread, though.

Then is the problem that you don't know what "partisan" means? I don't deny having a philosophy and moral values. I deny that any kind of political allegiance comes before them, as it does for people like TCK, the right-wing hivemind, Inga, ODB, etc.

Got a lot of shit here for talking up Romney (including from some right-wingers, interestingly), though he lost me as the campaign went on. Locally, Forest Baker in 2010 (more of a protest vote against Pete Stark). Lots of local Republicans before that, actually, and of course I was a Republican earlier in life.

A lot of the issues I care most about are local (housing restrictions, various regs, etc.), and I disagree with the Democratic Party, though the GOP also sucks locally.

Last time in a major election that I recall, yeah. I think at this point in time, there's a very clear difference, and one side has lost its damned mind. I've said many times that a respectable right-leaning party is absolutely possible (strong borders, strong defense, balanced budgets in good economic times, fewer regulations, lean spending and low taxes, etc.). We just don't have that now. The political right is an alliance between cynical supporters of upward redistribution and outright reactionaries.

Folks, this is a big one.

Out of all the endorsements I’ve had the pleasure of announcing, perhaps none has given me more personal satisfaction than this.

In the dark days after the 2016 election, when this WR was absolutely OVERRUN by Trumpbots @M3t4tr0n was one of the stalwarts of Sanity. There were days when his voice was one of the lone lifelines; a breath of air to a drowning man.

He is a poster who is genuinely respected and liked by those of every ideology.
