Actually, he's not even saying that anymore. He's saying that SJW's hijacked the perception of the dems in the eyes of outsiders. How this is meant to be a criticism of the dems or their platform at this point is unclear- all of the actors are largely outside the party.

I noticed that shift, but I tried to explain the difference in my view of KK's comment and his.

That's actually not as bad as it can be. When people are wrong here, they rarely say, "oh shit, good point." The most common response is for people to just persist in the refuted view. After that, maybe get mad and change the subject, but then going forward, they don't repeat their mistake. Then there's this one--shift your claim a little and don't acknowledge the change. A variation of that is the @nostradumbass special: angrily deny saying what you said and then get mad when confronted with your own words.

I would say it's one of them. Right wing being able to change the narrative to constitutional amendments over gay marriage, trannies, the black guy that got parole while Dukakis was governor (I am going way back to make a point), Is old hat to sell shit economic policy. Trump just put it on steroids, pulled the rug from the establishments Rs, then pulled the rug on the dems via economic nationalism. Only a Pat Buchanan type republican could have BTFOd the dems on their open flank on trade. Dems lost the margin of victory over trade and a slightly more progressive agenda will help with that (I say slight because too much will be bad economics imo).
