Well, I always talk about how I was a registered Democrat before the SJW wing took over the party. Voted for Obama in the primary and general in 2008. I'm pro-gay marriage, pro-weed, pro-choice, I'm not a religious person, I believe that the wealthier can afford to pay more in taxes and still not have to struggle, etc.

None of these things have changed. But the party moved further left. Censorship and rioting on colleges over just the idea of having a guest speaker you disagree with, changing definitions and biological terms because everything is a social construct, complaining and being offended by literally everything. Becoming the enemy because i'm a "cis" white straight male who is for civil rights and the acknowledgement of history.

It's all a joke to be honest, but everyone seems to take it very seriously.

With the exception of what is happening on campuses, you would have to be reading Breitbart to take agree on anything you just said about the Dems in the last part of your post. You just see that thing bout 70 something percent of lib grads think gender is a social construct .

Its not just the colleges there is a lot of it thats mainstream. you see it with trannys and immigration for example

Both parties have shifted really hard into silliness but since i think the end product the republicans are pushing is scarier I need the dems to get their shit together and start winning again so the brunt of the criticism here goes to them

As the diplomat has pointed out, I have a bit of a reputation as far left on economics. Been trying to think on how we can reach our more right leaning voters.

I keep coming back to guns, but was wondering if you had any thoughts.

Of the three, only culture is necessarily external. Behavior and psychology are are affected by hormonal differences, which in turn would help drive the shaping of the culture. Not sure that makes it simply a "social construct".
