Wtf every fifth voter from last year was banned during the purge ?
Nope. 31 bans/deletions over the past year. Of those, only 4 were actually banned during the purge.

Also, remember that last year registration didn't require a year-old account, so the sort of posters that have a six-month account lifespan before getting banned and starting over were able to vote. A lot of the banned voters were among those, e.g., lefthook->righthook->wallybrando, or sausageking, evilwaslittle, aged flatus, etc.

There are also at least 4 requested deletions since last year: ehthiest, southoftheandes, ripskater, bruceleeontrt

Not exactly. Last years list was about half the size of this years so we missed a bunch of people last year. The purge involved 4-7 people only. The rest of that number were unrelated bans or requested account deletions this year. For example, @SouthoftheAndes and @In the Name of both requested to have their accounts deleted. This is somewhat of the first year to year view we have of a WR Census actually. I noticed in Round 1 this may be very useful outside of the election itself to understand whether posters have increased/decreased in a year and whether it's been due to bans, deletions, or inactivity.

Very good recollection there. Yea, the 2016 to 2017 isn't going to be the clearest comparison because of the changing of the criteria as the first election was new and still being figured out. I think 2017 to 2018 and forward will be far more reliable and interesting to look into. Some of the names on the 2016 list I don't even remember them ever posting here. I pretty much just had a system if one or more posters I knew vouched for another, I'd let them in cause I wasn't aware of the search post history feature. Funny thing is I never remembered @Palis even though he had a decent amount of posts in here and the person who vouched for him was someone I recognized but actually didn't have many posts in here. Made me realize I needed a far more objective criteria going forward.

And strength

I lived outside of the city growing up and our house was on a hill. We'd have to cut firewood up near the road where they dropped a bunch of lumber off each year and wheelbarrow it down to the shed that had the furnace in it. Despite it being down hill, you'd be amazed how difficult it was for people who had never done it. You had to balance, grip tightly and control the speed of your steps all while holding a shrug position with your shoulders. My shoulders were jacked all through high school cause of that additional activity outside of weights.

We did have a chainsaw though so very little cutting was needed outside of cutting up the log into segments. The furnace was huge so they never needed split.

I'm the opposite. Born and raised in the city, moved to the country 6 years ago. We just moved to this place in March, had the wood burning stove installed last month, and I've been harvesting wood since then. This week I've been dealing a couple of partially uprooted maples from a storm right at the road. The driveway is about 500 feet long, up and down hill. So I can relate.
