He was accusing Mexico of sending their rapists to the USA, that is a million miles different than the statement that illegal immigrants are getting raped by other immigrants on the way here.

Not only is it different, the intent of the message is also totally different, one is to paint illegals as being dangerous because they are rapists (false they are not rapists more than any other group) while the other is to highlight the dangers that illegals face in coming over here. Its blatantly obvious which one Trump was going for.

Trump may not have quoted the 80% figure but that is the study/article he referenced when trying to defend his nonsensical statement. Present company excluded, I would hazard a guess that most people worried about illegals don't give a rats ass about their welfare, at the very least that is not what trump was shooting for.
It's not a million times different. I like you but I feel like I'm in la la land here. If the women are being raped at an 80% clip, which is probably close to the percentage of women raped in a sacked city during the bronze age (extremely high), they are being raped by someone, and first speculation goes with the men making the journey along the way.

The problem was the way everything was worded, not the intent. No other candidate will touch the issues that illegal immigration brings. Trump went too far, but maybe that's needed. Every other politician wanted to pander, hoping to win votes (short of maybe Ted Cruz).

julian assange hints that seth rich, the murdered dnc aid, was the whistleblower. this is pretty sad..

Dude the feeling is mutual, I like and respect you as a poster, but I think you are smoking something here.

Sending the USA their rapists is what he said and it's exactly what he meant to say. Mexican illegal immigrants are not more prone to commit rape than anyone else, those are the real stats, so we don't need any speculation about "well whose doing the raping" to conclude the statement was false.

That a large % of illegals get raped =/= Mexico is sending us their rapists. Those rapes are probably being committed by a tiny fraction of the illegals as well as the coyotes and other actors.

The idea that trump brought up the issue because he cares about illegals rather than he was trying to drum up the identity politics base is laughable. Forget about who is pandering to who, let's at least be honest about what he was trying to do, which was say that Mexico was sending their rapists over to America and were dmagerous to, America, not that Mexican immigrants were the victims of rape in epic proportions.

This won't make any headlines, but I just saw Don Lemon get absolutely owned on CNN. It was hilarious. He accused some Republican guy of not answering his question, and deflecting it with a "talking point".

Guy's response:

"Are you serious? You're the King of talking points!"

To which Lemon freaked out, talked over the guest, diverted questions to the panel members on his team, and ended the segment. Oh', it was glorious.

wow, even in 2011 it was obvious to everyone how much Trump wanted to bang Ivanka, go to 4:15

paul ryan defeated his primary trump loving opponent today by a 70 pct difference. trumpster divers were hoping to defeat ryan and send a message to the republican party. of course the snag being that trump is hated in wisconsin, especially in ryans district

You know it never is. It never is with this guy. And I've heard him- I hear- let me tell you I hear. I have the best ears. He never says what he's really saying because what he really says is- he says there's a problem there's a problem with what he's saying. But he never says it, folks. And I've gotta tell ya when a guy says, or doesn't say, when a guy says these things, he's really saying what he wants to say without saying it. I hear it. Believe me I hear it.

+1. That was perfect

Same thing. I like/respect you as well.

I don't know what else to say. I feel like I'll just be repeating myself here. Trump said they were sending their rapists, and that link shows that he's at least partly correct (I would be inclined to include the coyotes here). It's just another area where Trump should have toned it down and used precise language, but it's not like he didn't have a point at all. And if they're going to rape women when they know they can get by with it, what would make them stop once they hit the border?

I'm trying not to go off the deep end with Seth Rich conspiracies, but something happened there. What was initially reported as a robbery was proven to be total bullcrap. Not one personal item was stolen, and if I remember correctly, he was on the phone with his girlfriend and didn't seemed panicked. That tends to speak towards him being somewhat comfortable with the person(s) who were present at the murder. It could be nothing, but red flags are all over the place.

This?

lmfao watching this Trump roast

"For all of his self-starter bullshit, he's basically Jaden Smith with a comb-over."

HAHA -- how true. I think I saw this a while ago but it's so much better now, even just starting it, now I know so much about The Donald.
