tbh I think people put way too much emphasis on the "dangerous" aspect of a potential Trump presidency. I don't actually believe he would nuke some random place out of the blue or declare himself Emperor or any shit like that. If anything I think that type of criticism is ineffective because it sounds hyperbolic (and it is). If you run around telling people the world will resemble something out of The Walking Dead by the end of his first term, it just won't resonate with that many people.
It reminds me of dumb rightwingers that, when the time came to oppose Obama, focused on crazy nonsense like him being from Kenya or a secret Muslim, not actual criticism of his policies. It sounds catchy and doesn't take much effort, but it doesn't reach people.
Thankfully the Clinton campaign isn't following that gameplan and is concentrating on more grounded criticism, like the fact that Trump is a 0.01%er (i.e. super-rich) who's advocating, above anything else, tax cuts for the 0.01%ers. That alone should be a massive red flag for anyone who isn't already fully commited to the "anti-Clinton vote". Or this retarded stop-and-frisk suggestion. Basically convincing undecided voters that he's dishonest and will damage the country (either out of self-interest or just being misguided), not that he will turn it into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
