Ortiz screwed up by being mad at the 2nd strike. It guaranteed that he was going to get a called 3rd strike regardless of where the ball was. Kulpa doubled down after the game and said the 3rd strike was "in the zone right down the middle."

The 2nd strike at least had some movement on it. The 3rd one was so low an obviously a ball.

That's really not that bad. See calls like that all the time. It was a bit low, but a good frame job by the catcher gets those calls a lot.

That curve ball gif though? My god, that was called a strike?

It was 5 1/2 inches outside the strike zone, pretty significantly low.

Im done with it though, thank god the Sox are playing a day game today.

Still loling at the big PED situation. He ran out of the dugout faster than he's ran the bases all year.

That precise strike zone that no umpire in the league actually abides by? That strike zone?

I hope you don't pay too much attention to the pitch tracker during the game. You'd lose you fucking mind.

If you can't see that that pitch was low, I feel sorry for you.

Not any worse than some pitches I see called a strike in pretty much every game I see. Whether it's high, outside, inside, or low.

Sure, it was low. I'm not debating that. What I'm debating is that it's some once in lifetime missed call, that you've never seen before. If that pitch gets called in the 6th with one out, you wouldn't even remember it. .

If big PED does throw a roid rage tempter tantrum it might not even get called either. Ump was out to get him after that though.

Yea sure the legitimate strike zone. Nobody is saying that its possible to be even 95% accurate. That call wasnt close to the worst of the night, but it wasnt a "Bit low" it was half a foot off the plate and basically decided the game. My problem with Kulpa was that he was very one sided and every 50/50 type of call went the Yankees way.

The 3rd strike on a 3-2 count to Canley was awful and costly, as Shaw singled in his next AB and then Young walked before Bradley was called looking for the 3rd out. Not a huge problem with that call, but to my point they were getting every one of those calls.

That first strike was really bad. I'll agree with that. Although, I think it would've been a swinging strike on appeal anyways.

The Umpires are shit. No doubt. I never understood why they aren't held up to a certain standard behind the plate. They all have their own strike zone, which is ridiculous. To me, that's like an NHL ref having his own "off-side" zone. It is what it is though.

At least they routinely get made fools of making calls on the bases though. Instant replay has really emphasized their poor judgement. Just replace them all with machines. We have the technology.

Nah the appeal was a pretty clear non swing, wouldnt fit in the vine though. Whats funnier is he didnt even ask the 1st base ump if he went or not.

Anthony "Big Rizz" Rizzo is 4th in WAR among position players since the beginning of 2014. One of the baddest dudes alive.

And Dickey has already given up 4 runs.

Trade this cunt.

Oh', no worries Jays. All you have to do is get 4 runs back off of Clayton fucking Kershaw.

Hey though, Dickey might pitch 7 innings. Apparently that's more important than winning games.

Ackley walked on the 3-2 pitch, Headley flies out and then Gregorius clears the bases with a double.

Aaaand I'm rustled again

Dickey in Toronto was a disaster from the jump.

And why in the hell are the Dodgers discussing bringing up Urias to be a bullpen arm? Is it that bad in LA?
