There is literally nothing comparable between the two.

Calm demeanor when addressing rival candidates in debates
Talks/cares about domestic policy far more
Avoids confrontations in campaign

There you go.

It's weird because he was not expecting to do well in Iowa, and didn't need to. And then got a late surge in support that showed him ahead. And then the voter turnout exceeded expectations and it began to look like a walk for him...and then Cruz cruises it. I just don't know what to make of it. But Trump is doing so well nationally that I expect people to point out that he didn't expect to win Iowa, and that will be the talking point. It's a blow for him, but one his campaign saw coming and absorbed well.

I guess we'll see. I'm just getting the feeling that a lot of Trumps support is a mirage.

Really it doesn't matter who get more votes at this point, they both get 15 delegates no matter what at this point.

Wow, no recount possible because it is run by the Dems and not the state. No wonder Hillary declared victory...she knows it's in the bag.

an humble Trump, where did that come from

It'll be interesting to see if winning Iowa holds up for Cruz. He is very much politically in the mold of the last 2 winners, Huckabee & Santorum. Percentages are pretty close to the same as last year too.

He won't win N.H. or Nevada, but I think he does well on Super Tuesday.

This is why I found it bizarre people thought Trump could do a sweep let alone win either of the two states. The first is hard evangelical and the second is strong establishment. Trump is neither.

Sanders has gotten pretty riled up and recent debates.
Sanders is actually smart on domestic policy.
Sanders is not afraid of confrontation with Hillary or anyone else.

You're reaching here. You can't say that people would view them similarly. They are diametrically opposed to one another.

Hilary has it unfortunately. It's really going to come down to if bernie can win more after nh and really keep pushing. He should see some good money again after this, but still nothing for establishment endorsement.

I wouldn't call NH "strong establishment".

Cruz won Iowa by cutting promos of himself in camo, out duck hunting, with a neck-bearded redneck, while said redneck inevitably spoke about the evils of government and decline of American value, and how Cruz was the only candidate that could be trusted, based on his duck-hunting abilities. I'm not even kidding. He stole the 'Murican vote in Iowa, with cheesy campaign ads.

That's sad but hilarious.

Watching Rubio's speech, I'm legit confused, the country is fine. What is he saving us from? Is there an asteroid headed for earth or something? He gives this weird a speech during the GE & he'll get crushed.

Honestly a lot of the political speech from the US seems extremely confusing (and even some of the posting here that comes from the same position), you would think the US were just getting INTO a Great Depression type situation, were just ABOUT to get attacked by terrorists, were just getting INTO war in the middle east, and on and on. You'd especially think that personal freedoms were at an all time low and persecution were running rampant. It seems totally at odds with reality.
