I thought it was pretty well known that republican politicians themselves strongly disliked Trump? I don't watch Fox news a whole lot for obvious reasons but I never really seen them praising Trump at all, not saying it didn't happen just didn't first hand witness is all.

The thing is who would've ever thought that outright, disgusting, school yard name calling and running a non-stop smear campaign against your opponent could win you a presidential election? No matter how unlikable Hillary is, I don't think anyone could've guessed that directly calling your opponent horrible names could fly for an entire election and allow you to become president of the US.

I agree it wouldn't have worked against Bernie, but I still say no one could've forseen such a huge smear job could work so effectively for so long and allow you to become president.

People kept their head in the sand way too long. The way the republican nomination went should've been a wake up call. The rules had changed.


Like I said I've had a weird feeling the last couple months, she's running her standard charisma free campaign and all the media is scoffing at the prospect of Trump winning. Attacking his character in the same standard ways that haven't been working for a year. Meanwhile she can't go too hard because she's very easy to counter attack, because she's so extraordinarily unlikable.


I saw the potential for this to happen, but thought people would see reason and elect Hillary even if they didn't like her. Just like with Bush vs Kerry, we're seeing it just comes down to likability. People will not vote for someone they don't like or who doesn't have charisma.
