I don't agree with Bernie endorsing Shilllary, but it's a stretch to say he 'destroyed his genuine grassroots support'. There are a lot of people who respect Bernie, as I do, who get what he is doing. In a way, I respect that he is being a good soldier -- he firmly believes that a Trump Presidency would be the antithesis of the direction he wants the country to go in, so he is backing the so-called Democrat. I don't agree with it, but I get it, it's the 'lesser of two evils' theory that a lot of voters will use as well (on both sides of the aisle). Ironically, it's that selflessness for a greater cause than himself, that Shillary does not have, one of the many qualities that makes Bernie a far more respectable person than her.

I think by turning on all his strong principles, he hurt a lot of his support. I don't really care to get into a discussion about it because it's subjective, so nothing personal. Hillary is the Wall Street/free trade candidate and he fell on his sword to support her.
