Elections 2016 Democratic National Convention

I don't have a horse in the race, but this was atrocious. I can't recall the last time I witnessed such aggressive pandering.

Okay I missed all of this today, but I am going to comb through.

What do you guys think were the top few highlights so far? The bottom few lowlights?
Highlights - Cory Booker, watching the Sanders supporters boo the hell out of DWS and almost anyone on the convention floor who even mentioned Hillary's name. Also, watching Bernie destroy the genuine grassroots support he built as a man of principle standing up against the establishment then supporting one of the most establishment-candidates you'll ever see in your life.
Lowlights - the retards who were supposed to pound the gavel to start and end the convention both went full retard with that simple task. Also lots of fear mongering about trans people in bathrooms. You'd think ISIS Republicans were beheading LGBTQIALMNOP123 people in bathrooms.

lol

My liberals friends are mad at Bernie fans for making Clinton look bad, the left is officially at war with the left.

The mass shooters, terrorists, and BLM really missed an opportunity hear to REALLY make a huge statement

you can tell who the noob sanders supporters are and those who are familiar with the way he does things in the senate. sanders is no grandstander or scene maker like cruz.

Well you said it better than I did.

Lol at money manipulation. Let me guess you actually buy that "Wall streets model is fraud"????

Banks are not the enemy man. Corporate greed is. I am against the entire demonizing of a very instrumental part of our economy which has many good people working in it.

Nowadays you can probably say our economy is a very instrumental part of Wall Street.

As opposed to the all the fatcats like Shellie Adelson who was throwing a tantrum in his room about "that vampire" Ted Cruz after he refused to endorse Trump? You guys understand that Wall Street doesn't own the 1% in this country, right? There's a higher concentration of them there, understandably, than anywhere else, but the raw majority of our ultrawealthy don't reside and work as financiers.

She's bringing together the richest and the poorest. She's bringing in many Republicans who fear Trump's hardcore anti-trade platform (we're talking about his promise to artificially manage the trade deficit, for example, not the TPP which Hillary doesn't endorse, anymore, either-- a reversal that can be appreciated if only for the mere fact that, unlike Trump, she actually read it...but that's hardly a surprise when you realize Trump hasn't even read a book in his adult life that wasn't about him).

Trump is doing well in the polls largely thanks to the violence from the past two weeks, and all the blunders and bad press (e.g. DNC leaks) converging on Hillary's head. Unfortunately for Trump, his convention only serves to reify the divisions within the Republican party while after Michelle Obama and Bernie's speech the Democrats are appearing more consolidated than ever.

Also, I think most Dems are fed up with Trump supporters taking snipes on social media as if there has been any consistency or integrity in their worship of Trump. He simply doesn't have a high ground, there, and Dems are finally floating the bird rather than trying to be the adults in the room. I suspect she sees a 4-7 point bump from this convention.

It's on.

Seems like thing went okay all things considered. I expect worse, I'm disappointed.

I don't agree with Bernie endorsing Shilllary, but it's a stretch to say he 'destroyed his genuine grassroots support'. There are a lot of people who respect Bernie, as I do, who get what he is doing. In a way, I respect that he is being a good soldier -- he firmly believes that a Trump Presidency would be the antithesis of the direction he wants the country to go in, so he is backing the so-called Democrat. I don't agree with it, but I get it, it's the 'lesser of two evils' theory that a lot of voters will use as well (on both sides of the aisle). Ironically, it's that selflessness for a greater cause than himself, that Shillary does not have, one of the many qualities that makes Bernie a far more respectable person than her.

There is no need to mock it up, the raw video is more embarrassing than anything a youtuber could edit.

'I have great tits & I tell racist jokes, therefore my opinion on politics matters'

They said the same thing about the RNC but it finished really strong.

We'll see if they do that here. I think the Bernie supporters might die down in the next few days and then Hillary's team will try to prevent them from being on the floor when she speaks.

I watched the RNC later. I got my first impression from the media and according to the German media it was a disaster. They said Cruz totally destroyed the convention.

After all I think the RNC was pretty much what I have expected.
The only low was the Ted Cruz speech, but it wasn't that bad.

DNC on the other hand was overshadowed by the leak.
They had a really hard time to sell Clinton in a positive way. The momentum was just so bad lol.

We will see the polls but I will be surprised, if the democratic party gains new voters.

Sanders is a pathetic little man. What revolution? lol. He acted like some revolution happened.

sorry man, not even a bernie fan to begin with but i do not see your way at all. Not after what has came out and what the DNC was ready to do to him. Not after they lied to him about concessions and not especially when he was the reason all those kids had hope. I can understand the wanting of a lesser evil -- but in this case, he got too many people's hope up and he sold out -- then tried to make his zealots accept it.

I saw a coward who doesn't have what it takes to win. A guy who will take a beating and still love you. Still lick your boots. Sanders is controlled opposition as I said before.
