Elections 2016 Democratic National Convention

Sometimes you have to be realistic about the situation you are in. Bernie didn't sell out; heck, I don't even think he's motivated by money nor will be financially awarded to. He had two options - behave in a way that advances the interest of Trump, or behave in way that advances the interests of Clinton. Why he is quite unlike either, he did something that ultimately advances his view of what america should be as compared to the alternative.

He still gave into what he claimed to be against. It doesn't surprise me though Bernie was never known for having a pair.

That's exactly how I feel, I thought Bernie was the only honest, not sold out candidate. As much as I dislike everything about Cruz, the man can be respected. Can't say the same about Bernie.
sanders and cruz are two totally different people. sanders is much more inclined to work with republicans than cruz with democrats. this shouldnt come as a surprise he would go with clinton. that and he thinks trump is complete moron.

The same Cruz that was asking the dems for donations to fight trump. Shut up shill. Both Cruz and Bernie are fucking political hacks.

I can see how pragmatism can override pride. There was just so much about Hilary that Bernie was completely against.

Maybe Cruz didn't hate Hilary as much as he did Trump, after Trump buried him during the primaries.

Then there's no need for endorsement. Congratulate her and bow out.

shocker that sanders doesnt have the ego cruz has. cruz thinks trump will lose which will set him up for 2020. it wasnt some moral stance. lol.

Bernie lost all respect tonight. She was literally working with the DNC behind his back the whole time, and he comes out and kneels to her corruption. She is everything he was supposed to be against.

So that's why Bernie who campaigned against everything the DNC just proved they stood up for endorsed Hillary, because of ego. I hope his supporters don't end their crusade because Bernie doesn't have the will to fight.

Was pretty comical listening to Bernie speak about Trump and throwing the race card at him, yet, of course doesn't even acknowledge that the democratic party refers to hispanics as the "Taco Bowl" people, or address the fact that the same exact party attacked him for being Jewish. Apparently it's okay to fight for oppression, racism and anti-semitism as long as it's not against your own party?

What a dingus.

Keep your retarded shit over there, thank you.

Remember when you got your ass handed to you by an old man? Why didn't you press rape charges?

Hilary is the textbook establishment candidate for corporate America.

I know you're fond of winging it Trump style with the incongruent rhetoric, but no, you're not a socialist.

Also, I'm a democratic socialist, as a violent revolution creates logistical tangents that can be very hard to control. However, Obama's reforms were barely of any consequence and, given both Clinton and Kaine's (who just called for further deregulation last week) statements and contribution histories, I doubt any further will come during the next several years. Also, "tear shit down" was never the strategy. Urging popular pressure on congress to concede more meaningful legislation was the strategy. However, with an executive office that is vested in maintaining the deregulated powers, such a bill is likely null anyways.

If you want a cursory insight into how still-silly our economic policy is, I suggest Money for Nothing. It's available on Netflix. It's a bit repetitive, especially when they get into the Greenspan era, but it's commendable in that it takes on a very dry, but very important, topic.

I'll check out the documentary. But you are wrong about me. I may promote capitalism but in my ideal world and under ideal circumstances I support socialism. The problem is we/society isn't fit yet to my liking of what I consider "ideal circumstances" and as such I feel it is better to maintain a degree of capitalism.

im not even remotely surprised and not bothered by sanders because ive been saying he would do it for awhile. im pretty amused people are surprised when politicians do political things. sanders will keep on doing what hes been doing in the senate.
